Luca Williams-Barnett

Exciting times but LWB still a long way from starting PL matches, when I watched him in U18's Luca played more central not out wide , shame we have no Europa games to give him extra minutes also when Odobert and Mudryk are fit we will have more left wingers than the Labour party.
The Labour party still have left wingers?!

He needs continued careful development. If he were to loan to the Bundesliga in January it'd be great, otherwise he's fighting a pretty stacked situation for game time, and he really needs proper matches at a good technical level to continue devloping into the player I believe we all feel he can be.

This, real talent that needs to be slowly brought in, 2-0 up in a dead game where the opponent is doing damage limitation is very different from a scenario where he will be required to be disciplined, be part of the team defense, etc.

We need to win a few more games like this early and give him (and others) the option to come on for minutes.

This squad is built for Europe, when you realize fully fit, we would have LWB, Wilson, Bergvall, Gray, Tel, Gallagher, Senesi, Deki, likely Marmoush all not starting, we need to have the 4 comps to make this squad work.

Moore was a more direct player and did his best work in final 3rd, Williams-Barnett gets involved all over the pitch, their temperaments are very different Luca a showman, similar to Gascoinge, he does like a trick or two, Moore wants to beat his man shoot or pass, we didn't see the best of him because of the possession football we played.
Moore will get fouled, Williams-Barnett asks to get fouled.
To my mind Williams-Barnett is a more complete player and has that ability to produce a bit of magic.

Thanks. The bolded bit is interesting, can you elaborate on that a bit more? Do you mean Moore would be better in a team that plays more on the break or isn't necessary obsessed with having possession at all costs, e.g. Arsenal, Atletico Madrid etc?
If Moore was still here in our current way we'replaying, how do you think he'd do?

Also, between LWB and M: which of the two will cope better long-term with the physicality of he PL?

He is not a winger but teams don't have enough faith in giving the 10 role to a kid, Foden is a class case, he was outstanding as a youth player but had to fill in out of position at City due to overseas stars.
I don't disagree, but I think it works the other way too i.e. considering Luca is sooooo much better than all the other U18 kids, you wouldn't want to put him on the wing, you would want him in the middle where he can absolutely run the game. But I do agree, he is not "just" a winger that can dribble, he has a lot more about his game and likes to score from the centre circle etc.

I think both Moore and LWB can make it but we can't expect miracles at 18 19 20, they have time on their side to grow and develop.
I like that Moore was sent to Rangers and Koln to challenge him, toughen him up, hone his craft and then he can come back and we'll see what his level is. Obviously the Prem is a massive step up, just ask Sancho and Wirtz.
