Kevin Danso

Seems that way
I think, it’s just his way of saying he wants everyone out who isn’t in his plan
But I think he should be managing some of that better (from the outside)
Great leadership is bringing people with you, and then dealing with the hand you have
Not inking anyone not with you if it leaves your hand weaker

Have to say mate I think he has done plenty of that.
I think it's clear he's done that with Bergvall. VdV too. Porro as well. I mean, no-one will convince me VdV and Porro ended the season thinking 'THFC for life'.
He might well have done it with a few others too.

Sorry, there is an unnatural obsession with Kevin Danso on this forum I like him and would like him to stay as a squad member, but the way people bang on here, it's as though we're letting go of prime-time Baresi.
I personally like Richy and think he does a job, but if he wants to go, we're not giving up Kane.
Pape is a player I personally really like, however it appears RDZ doesn't fancy him, so that's a choice.

I think the combo of a disappointing start and the manager's rep is leading to some early judgement of him...again, if someone is against a philosophy and style of play one believes in, I get that, because we're being asked to buy in and believe in what he is doing.

I think it’s because the guy starting in front of danso so far has been inferior to him
And we backed the manager to sign the guy for £51m
Bergvall is here because no one has actually pushed to buy him

I wouldn’t get rid of Danso or Sarr. I’d have Danso over a couple of our other options and he brings something different. I’d have Sarr over Gallagher and Bergvall.

However, RDZ needs to shift a couple of foreign players and he’s clearly decided these are the lads to go. He doesn’t want to be managing VDV, Senesi, JPVH, Davies and Danso to have Danso knocking on his door every Monday asking why he isn’t playing.

I don’t agree with the decision but it’s De Zerbi’s decision to make and if this is what he’s decided, he’s absolutely handling it the right way. It’s tough, it’s ruthless but it’s what’s needed at the top level.

I LOVE Sarr, and I'd have him over Gallagher tenfold everyday.
I'd also like to keep Danso for depth.

I think Danso counts as homegrown???
Yes, he doesn't fancy Sarr for whatever reason (I don't get it as I think he's exactly the sort of player RDZ would love). It's clear the Danso thing is out of his hands.

Indeed.

Absolutely.
Danso is HG
So another issue incoming

Didn’t realise Danso was HG but, either way, if RDZ has decided VDV, JPVH and Senesi are ahead of him, getting Danso out isn’t a bad thing because he’s too good to be 4th choice. It’ll stop fans claiming he should be playing and it’ll make it easier for RDZ to manage the situation.

Don’t have to like the decision to see the logic in it.

It's because he, Palhinha and Kinsky were the most important players in saving us from the drop. And because he has a skillset seemingly lacking in his defensive partners. Defending is a team function but we seem to lack roll up your sleeve type players.

These things make him different from the other players in your list Steff.

I don't want to get into a long debate on this mate. I will say this...for what RDZ wants to do, he is not a great fit. A fine squad player and his specific skillset is certainly appreciated. The truth is, he is better suited to what Frank was trying to do.

I am of the opinion that with two defeats, 5 goals conceded and non scored in the PL this far, some people are panicking. Understandable in some senses given our recent history I suppose.
But I believe if Kevin Danso is the answer then the entire question is totally fudged. Again no slight on him, he has a skill-set and I'd love it to
help sometimes close out games.

I believe you disagree. Is it OK if we respectfully leave it there?!

Kevin Danso is the answer, and if RDZ thinks you can set a team up without what Danso brings he should be fired immediately.

You can’t give up multiple goals every game on purpose.

Van Hecke's passing isn't good enough to outweigh his defending ability.

With VDV being captain, whoever plays alongside side him needs to be able to do some heavy lifting.

Moving out of the way to let VDV header the ball, who is brick in the air himself is not the way forward.

I thought Van Hecke was fine defensively yesterday, and Danso wouldn’t have prevented either of their goals.
Completely agree with this. People seeing what they want to see with JPVH already.
. I was watching his heading specifically in the first half and he won almost all of his duels.

For me, he’s a hiding to nothing as he’s not Romero or Vuskovic in some people’s eyes and he’s not being judged objectively.

Van Hecke played well.
Danso would've had more of a chance of stopping Woltamade heading down for the 2nd goal though imo.
