Chaos ball though is such a great term for it, its nuts football, works for periods then doesnt. I like him but not sure he would be right for us

No excuses whatsoever, but he is mentally ill and has obviously been undiagnosed in at least two critical areas of mental health. Off the top
I'd say ADHD, BPD and on the spectrum. His gift/career was likely the worst possible collision. Again, no excuses just potential (and I think very plausible) reasons. He needed helping from himself a long long time ago now, but his issues were seen as 'eccentricities' plus the era did not allow for such 'weaknesses'...sad for him and his many victims.

I do NOT like how he comes across, has always come across, and how he blows up everywhere he seems to go.
I did not like the Greenwood stuff; he chose to make statements about that p rick I did not like.

As I have said I have my own very personal reasons for finding Greenwood -and people blowing off that whole thing- objectionable.
I can live and let live with differences of opinion.
It is pretty clear to me that there are some who cannot.

Not wanting him on an ability basis is fine. As is not wanting him on a personal basis - but if the latter exists, can you truthfully share in any success he brings?
The alternative is to stop using idealism as a measure and live in real politik.
Unfortunately football is a tough landscape for high moral positions.
