At this point, it tells you more than the 2 results do. Players are joining because they've been sold a project and see it as a good place for their careers. Given time, they'll be proven right.

I’m with you here. Gakpo was probably the attacking player I wanted most out of those we were linked with because of his physicality and the fact he scores goals.
We now have lots of tricky one on one players and ball carriers but seem to lack goals. I love watching Ndiaye but he seems another player similar to what we already have.
I’m also brick scared every time the opposition get a corner. I wonder if we’re going to have do something radical like leave 3 players up, spread across the centre line of the pitch, with another player between there and our penalty box to ensure the opposition have to keep 4 or 5 back, clearing out the penalty area for us and avoiding having so many physical mismatches.

He was at Boreham Wood Youth from 2016 to 2019, and at Sheffield United from 2019-2023 (combined ages 16-23), so five years before turning 21 - how does that not fit the required:
"A homegrown player is defined as someone who was registered with any club affiliated with the English Football Association (FA) or Football Association of Wales (FAW) for at least three full seasons (or 36 months) before turning 21 (or before the end of the season in which they turn 21)."
So, you have to have signed a senior contract before you turned 18, is that it?
