I done this with Ange so i am pretty much copy and pasting the thread and changing the names

I have been a big fan of TF and have supported him all the way in hope that it will come good and i am still confident that he will come good. Reading recent posts in recent OMT's it seems quite a few want to freshen it up. I know some comments are through frustration and after people have cooled down they may see it with a level head so i decided to do the inevitable poll to see where we stand as a fan base / community.

He needs until the summer at least.

We are playing with mid/low table players at the moment. Most should be back up to others. But with injuries we are down to a back up attack.

I have always said he needs to get Solanke back and a few others. Problem is the list not available is growing.

Enic need to back him and show us why they are different and want to challenge for more silverware (not this season...)

I'd give him at least til the summer as well as i think the players are still playing for him and he hasn't lost the changing room. We have to show some patience as i expect there is also alot of nonsense going on in the background post Levy. Of course we would like to see faster progress/better football, and TF can improve himself, but he doesn't look like a fish out of water like some other PL managers

What scares me is that the club had at least 6 months to think about who’d replace Ange and they came up with TF. Went with give him till summer and I’d take 17th now if offered.

I've gone give him until the summer. I would hope by that stage, with players coming back and new signings (maybe) we can make a better assessment of where we are with him.
I'm the same. I don't see it getting any better and I don't have confidence in him to turn it around.

However, we recruited the guy so unless he drags us into serious trouble then it feels unfair to fire him now given that he's had to manage in a ridiculously unstable and toxic environment and without some of his best players. The pool of available managers will also be much better in the summer. Sacking him now doesn't have much upside for me.

Unless it's disastorous I'll probably be keen to stick with him then; but it's definitely impossible to make a fair assessment as yet.

I think people still underestimate how our standing amongst coaches we would consider good has plummeted in the last few years...TF was likely the best they could muster given our reputation and ways of working....

I listened to tons of podcasts, and read lots of stuff online (including on here), about how he was the perfect fit...

Hindsight is always 20/20 vision.
There are the same videos and podcasts for every manager and making their style of play sound great for the club. Not just ours but everywhere - I remember reading this article about Ralf Hasenhüttl when he was joining Southampton and it made him sound like a genius. Low and behold he was not.

You just don't know until said manager steps through the door and manages, no matter how logical an appointment it seems it really is tough to get right consistently (or most of the time in our case).....

I've gone with give him until the Summer.... However if we lose to West Ham in our next PL game then I think I'd revise that and bring somebody in who can ensure we don't get relegated.

If we lose vs West Ham that would indeed be catestrophic...The big question is who could we bring in though? Harry Redknapp??

If he doesn't get 4 points (and it should really be 6) from the next 2 PL games he has to be on extremely thin ice. After that there is a horrible run of games.
