Hindsight, knee jerk, call it whatever you want, but that is pure nonsense! I can't remember a single post of anyone saying we gave away our best defender at that time! Pretty much everyone agreed his time was up with us. Not that he wasn't appreciated, but it was a clear unison understanding that he was surplus, and not ideal for the way forward.
