Yes, 25 lines:
2 x goal-lines
2 x touchlines
1 x center-line
6 x six yard lines
6 x penalty area
8 x corner encroachment lines

Well, if you're including those, I call 29 as there have to be the four corner flags in place (half-way are optional).

And then there's the posts.

And if you break down any circle it's really lots and lots of short straight lines.

It can depend on the tool used to mark it, and (as someone who took 2 maths A levels and passed 3**) you might check how the circumfirence of a circle is derived.

You do all realise that the encroachment lines for the corners that he's talking about aren't the little arcs in the corner, but instead the straight lines that are about 6-8 yards away, and outside the pitch, which indicate if a player from the opposition is too near the corner taker, right?

Been a few years so not following your logic. Isn't a perfect circle an infinite amount of infinitely small straight lines?
