You missed the point like Timo Werner. Repeatedly. Despite having open goals to understand it (even someone else was saying the same)My definition of obtuse is to display willful ignorance.
My ignorance is not willful, If I missed your point then it is genuinely because I found it impossible to understand what point it was that you were making with your initial response.
I was, and still am, completely confused as to why you feel I started a "silly game" (that you then wanted to continue). I've still have absolutely no idea why you think me posting an opinion that signing players who have already proven they can cope with PL football is less of a gamble is me playing a "silly game". It is genuinely baffling. Typically when I disagree with somebodies opinion I just tell them that I disagree with their opinion.
I can't even listen to Talksport let alone call into it.You missed the point like Timo Werner. Repeatedly. Despite having open goals to understand it (even someone else was saying the same)
The 'silly game' (softened to futile)...was an obvious (to me) attempt to show that whatever opinion you had someone could make that valid opinion equally look 'silly' via citing endless great examples of players that have worked and ones that haven't on all sides of PL and foreign signings debate...so it's impossible to be conclusive that one is 'less risky'.
The ignorance comes from the endless other replies where I have tried my very best to explain what I was getting at. (Gave it another go above)
It feels like you didn't like the tone? Sorry for that.
Whatever you do never call in to TalkSport![]()
Plenty of clubs take out loans on future earnings , nothing to get too worried about.
Apart from the fact we are the most indebted club in the world.
Poch, Lloris, Toby, Jan, Walker, Dembele, Wanyama, Dele, Eriksen, was pretty good tbf….Failure to build a team around Kane & Son will always be the ace card for Levy detractors.
The debt has been structured into tranches of low interest loans some not repayable until 2051, Levy had a degree in economics, Charrington was CEO with Citi Group Private Bank for 25 years or so, pretty sure these people know more about multi million pound finances than most.Apart from the fact we are the most indebted club in the world.

Also I think Barca are more in debt than we are as of 2025.
PS Man U have a lot of debt , at least most of ours if for a shiny cash generating stadium unlike their run down pile.
