I'll be down in Dorset and Hampshire next weekend, support driver on a 180 mile bike ride, I'll recommend this to the guys planning the event.

Has to be bars over gels. I remember getting some gels when I did Hell Runner Daaarn Saaarth a couple of years ago, which I would like to add was fookin hard, especially having to break ice to get through the water obstacles :-({|= I had them for emergencies and did need a kick at the 15km mark.

I had a few and passsed them around to my running partner and a couple around us. We were all gagging a few seconds later, more because of the deeply nasty texture. I distribute a Free Running magazine and they recently sent me a pack of energy gels to hand out with the magazines. After a very brief trial and some more gagging I decided not to distribute them.

So if anyon wants a bag of these:

They sound disgusting clarky old chap, how is the running going are you still doing it?

I was always a cyclist and never a jogger but i have been determined to learn to run. It was hard going because to start with i could not even do a lap of the park, something in my legs did not like running guess they were to used to cycling. But i have built it up and got up to 4miles, i have no idea how you marathon runners do it.

Can cycle 50-60 miles no problem but it takes everything just to jog 4 miles, feels so unnatural. Do you eat jellybeans? i have been told that all joggers/runners eat them but it seems odd to eat a sweat to me.
