Djed Spence

I don't really see the logic of selling when we will need to buy another RB for Porro's competition. I'm also not so sure why everyone is convinced he won't get any minutes at RB this season? Competition is good but also they offer quite different things so having different options for different situations is a good thing.
Me either, but seems wanting him to stay is a sin

If he makes the left back in the team of the WC, and we still sell him to Everton for £30 million then we are the world's biggest mugs. Based on the world cup. Before this tourno you could have made a case. I strongly feel now you got to be buzzing we have him and if you don't then there is an irrational issue. Just my view.
I think the elephant in the room is Porro, who has been equally if not better than Spence at the World Cup and in a spurs shirt. I don’t think Spence will want to be happy to sit on the bench as Porro is still out number 1 RB.

So it’s logic to sell a player at the peak of the market. £30 mil is not going to be the going rate after his good performances.

Probably need an understudy to Porro.

He's been playing left back all world cup.

He won’t make it. Will be Cucurella. But Spence has been impressive. And I think either we keep him or we sell him for premium off of the hype

Think he might be better at LB tbh.

Personally I think he's a better LB, but regardless will come down to the fact he won't get the minutes he wants as we don't have European football - will likely be the player wanting to leave to be first choice somewhere more than us wanting to get rid I would think.

If we was in Europe I imagine would have more of a chance of persuading him to stay here....

That might all be true (a lot of assumptions made though) but regardless we are going to need another RB. I don't mind selling anyone truly but this seems a weird one unless we have someone better lined up.

Is that due to the LB situation with England? not many intervened full backs are positioned in the game today.

I just don’t think RDZ will use him like that either.

I don't know. But that's where he has played and been immense.

You brought up £30M which even those who thinks it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to sell would say is too low. There must be a price where you think it be the right call.

It doesn't work like that Rob. I don't want to sell him.

No but some people just refuse to see the good that they are currently displaying. Long may it continue, personally loving this new approach to the market. Sorry if that upsets you.
both can be true - they are doing a lot of good and selling spence is a mistake.
can you handle that ?
