Then we could send some out on loan, or sell the ones we don't need.

Then the ones left need to perform to get into the starting 11.

Also we will pick up more injuries, so the players coming back will probably just replace someone else

By the end of the year we would have too many players and too little games

when all the players have returned from injury because we're only playing one game a week?
We won't be playing one game a week. We're playing two games a week until at least the middle of February, and hopefully longer than that.

If you mean end of the year (not season)... we'll still have CL games after Xmas and FA cup starting. (We've got 9 games scheduled in January already)

And we probably only need 1 win in the CL to add another two games in the play off round.

Could definitely see a situation at some point this season where we have "too many players, not enough games". But as you say, probably later than the new year. Even with significant injuries we've had a strong bench (up until more recently).

Hopefully a run in the CL or FA Cup means it won't be much of a problem. If it ends up a problem it's just one of those things.

The other way to look at it is....if we didn't have the potential of too many players later on, we'd probably not have enough players now, to cover the current injury crisis.
