If he’s lost another yard of pace then I’d beat him in a foot race!

He’s not a perfect player but he is very, very good and, more importantly, effective. I think RDZ could do wonders with him in the #10 role.

Pace is not the be all and end all if you can beat your opponent get into space and pass accurately. I've seen plenty of speed merchant who couldn't pass water or hit a barn door. It's how quick you read situations and the ability to pass.
