Cristian Romero

Inwards bent knee, from what I could tell.

Valgus position refers to an inward angling of a limb or joint, where the distal segment (part further from the body) deviates away from the body's midline, creating an X-shape or "knock-kneed" appearance.
Not sure I totally get it, but it sounds a bit “ouch”.

Well, that's not what's happened in that photo.

Edit: I'm wrong...thought that was his left leg... it's actually his right.

If Antonin has knelt on his foot at the same time that could make it worse.
The shove from Brobbery will make it more dangerous as your body is not prepared for that as the force comes from the blindside, so you have zero time to prepare or adjust.

I'm no Romero fan but I can't blame for being emotional yesterday.
The pile on from the media and SM only highlights what we are up against, everyone wants to see us suffer, everyone wants us down.
I honestly believe most supporters would prefer to see us go down than see city or Chelsea be properly punished.
How bizarre is that.

Romero cried as he was worried for World Cup and i totally get that. Feel the same for Kudus, awful. These happen once every four years. Not sure how much impact it'll be with him out and Danso in, given his form has been terrible along with VDV. Right now, more concerned what it means for us to stay up than anything else

Sometimes a pair of decent CBs make a great defence, they compliment each other.
Often thought Romero and vvd subtract from each other. On paper it should work, but to my eye there's no chemistry there.
Maybe Romeros Ill fortune will be our good luck, danso and vvd may click.
Yeah, I know it's the hope that kills you.

The world cup is going to be carnage (Trump, wars, ICE etc). It will also cripple all the players who go for the entire of next season too. Just for this year/tournament, i hope none of ours go

An MCL is a 3 monther if that is what it is

Via chatgpt :

With Romero: 0.86 PPG (22 games)
Without Romero: 1.10 PPG (10 games)

Obviously sample size yadda yadda but not really a blow to our chances of survival.

Edit :

Over a season one of those gets you relegated, one of them earns survival.

People have expressed their opinions on Romero.
I am now going to express mine.
We will miss him.
And anyone who finds any 'joy' or 'happiness' from his injury/tears today needs to take a long look at themselves. Isn't to your taste? I get that. But some of the other stuff? Nah. Not having it.

Well said. 👏
