I was replying to @Rorschach and the advantage the US are clumsily (putting it kindly) giving China geopolitically and economically.
I believe China's CO2 peaked a couple of years ago and has been on a very gradual decline since. The industrial base is sill expanding, but the use of coal to power it is falling as they switch to clean energy.I

But looking at your infographic....China are pumping out less co2 per capita than the US (surprising considering China are undoubtedly the factory of the world).
They'll need to reign it in though.... perhaps we can all stop buying tut we don't need?
On a sidenote....they are probably facilitating much of the switch to solar across the world, correct (?).I believe China's CO2 peaked a couple of years ago and has been on a very gradual decline since. There is an upcoming EU tax on imports from outside the bloc of 3 EUR per item. So if you are paying an extra 3 squid for each piece of plastic tat you buy, that will certainly curtail some of the demand from sites like temu I would think.
Yeah, they make most of the panels and batteries, though there are some EU manufacturers (not enough!). China are the leading edge of this tech and will ultimately drive 'energy independence' into everyone's home. This, of course, is the sum of all fears for the carbon circle countries and the fossil fuel industry. They are fighting tooth and nail to stop this transition, but it will happen regardless. I often see it described as the democratisation of power, but I'm not sure that is the right way to look at it. We are taking back the power though. fudge yeah.On a sidenote....they are probably facilitating much of the switch to solar across the world, correct (?).
Off topic sidenote: I was just reading up on the tut or tat ...think tut (sounds like put) is a south east/London thing (might be a only fools and horses phrase iirc) when tat is Scottish/Irish
The countries that embrace the change are going to win out so quickly. Not least because of thr job security this bringsNo wonder Xi couldn’t care less about Trump and Bibi’s mess in the Middle East!
