Dean Saunders has not made much of an impact on me as a pundit. Jonathan Pierce is far better on Robot Wars than he is at his day job. Who's worse?

Only 1 "winner" here. Saunders? Does he even have an opinion? Pierce is as awful as the gooner macaron with the same name.

I don't mind Saunders but he's no pundit. He tells a good story in an amusing way and he gives good insights as to how a club works, training, transfer dealings etc - I don't really see him as a pundit.

Pierce was an introduction to commentary with a gimmick but he even seems to have lost that - admittedly annoying - mojo, so offers nothing. Not really a pundit either but he gets my vote.

I like Jonathan Pearce. Through the late 80s and 90s he was the voice of London football with his coverage on 1548 Capital Gold, with (the) Bobby Moore as co-commentator

This is closer than I was expecting. Saunders has completely passed me by as a pundit, I've seen him but I can't say that he's ever made an impression.

He's one of the very, very few that has failed even harder than Sherwood as a manager. This complete lack of football knowledge obviously makes him a shoe-in as a pundit. He has even played for Liverpool, so I'm not sure why hasn't gotten a chance with the big boys on Sky or BT. I think he could rival Redknapp for lack of insight.

I like the fact that you have spotted his potential. We need people to keep an eye out for the stars of tomorrow.

It is laughable to think that Pierce was considered an innovator for shouting.

It was the late 80s and the South American style of commentary was first turning up on Trans-World Sport on Channel 4. I think Pearce did it as a parody to start with.

I didn't even know Saunders was a pundit. Jonathan Pearce, I only associate his voice with Match of the Day, and I only watch Match of the Day if we win, so - I can't vote this time!

Saunders .... you would have thought an ex footballer would have some sort of knowledge or depth until the game.

Exposes himself
