Awful Goals Conceded Thread 15/16

Johnny nice-tits
Season after season all we ever do is concede fudging stupid pathetic goals, we will never ever do well until we stop this and it seems no matter who plays or who in manager it happens continually

Am going to count up just how many this season

1, 08/08/15 Manchester United away
Ridiculously bad pass from Bentaleb ending in a laughable o.g from Walker

Its stupid fudging threads like this that sum up our fan base.

Laughable by walker? He done well to get back and tried to stop a certain goal, it was all on bentaleb.

I would add it was bad pass from Bentaleb and two bad decisions from Jan and Toby going to press and taken out of position when they didnt need to..

Bentaleb made a terrible pass, and Alderweireld, Verts and Dier then all compounded the error by rushing towards the ball and leaving Rooney in acres of space. Either the DM or the CBs have to stay in position in situations like that: all three failed that responsibility. And, since Dier was the furthest behind play, he made the biggest error after Bentaleb: he should have seen Verts and Toby being drawn out of position and covered. An experienced DM probably would have.

it's always incompetence rather than conspiracy, but it does seem to happen to us far more than anyone else

it's just another symptom of our overriding issue though imo, we can't afford technically proficient, tactically aware and mentally strong players, for us it's pick 2, mistakes are going to be made

No; Toby A was marking Rooney, Verts was marking Memphis, Dier came across to confront Young... Dier pointed to Vertonghen and told him to go with Memphis, but Verts ignored that and fronted up to Young, leaving Young a very simple pass to Memphis. Toby A had to come across as Memphis was through on goal, Verts sold himself short.

I think this thread is fine as long as the title is changed to include fluke goals we get and other teams get. Like Chelsea's two fluke goals as a decent start.

Just no team with as many utterly ridiculous **** ups as us

Not true. Just look up Liverlol's defending under Brendan. Many more ridiculous f***-ups. Same as Arsenal. I mean they've already managed two ridiculous goals against them and the season is one day old.

2-1 to Arsenal then

that's not a mistake, Brenton coaches them to do that, it's one if his touchy feely trust tests, "all that matters is the honesty of the group"
