Yeah....but you can't stream in HD with HDMI and the cable is a bit fiddly.

What TV mate?

Got a Sony Bravo LED from John Lewis. A bit of a rip off.

I dont know what HDMI does to be honest I only ever watch tv for football and the odd movie. Now I could watch porn haha.

Funny enough I just met a mate of mine who was sayin how awesome apple tv is. I didnt know they had one for the ipad but definitely for the macbook etc. Also if you have an iphone you can use it as a remote to your laptop or in this case the ipad

I have an iPad and AppleTV - AirPlay is fantastic.

This is a photo I posted in another thread recently. Playing FIFA on my TV from my iPad, using my iPhone as a control. Yes it is a bit pointless, but demonstrates the type of thing you can do with it.

I bought one recently

Would reccommend. Initially thought it was brick but then took some time to tweak it a little and now works fine

Biggest gripe is 720 instead of 1080p - as long as you know that beforehand

The new version was released a few weeks ago, new processor, full 1080P output, etc..

I've had the old version and the got the new one too and it's really decent. I've pretty much stopped buying Blu-Rays now as just plonking my arse on the sofa and renting them on Apple TV is so convenient. Streams everything like music, films, TV shows, (Porn :D ) etc., that I have stored on my Mac.

You can also jailbreak them really easily with aTV Flash if you don't want to be tied in to just Apple stuff.

fudge, just my luck

In that case, I'd say - worth a punt, Leeds.

Just remember - before streaming from your iTunes library - movies have to be converted first

400Hz refers to the refresh rate. The general accepted notion refers - higher = better.

ahhh ok - still no fudgein idea - what is a refresh rate? what the fudge? proper brick teacher you are

so mine is pretty brick I suppose if higher = better.

A higher refresh rate is most notable / useful if you're a big gamer or watch sport. Fast moving images get processed quicker and better.
