I used to play fairly regularly and could enjoy it because I could pot a few balls. My highest break is 67 and I used to knock in 30s and 40s when I played.
Anyway, that was years ago...fast forward, and I've just started playing again with a fella from work. But I am phucking crap! Played for the second time today and was a bit better, but still not cueing that great.
Anybody who plays/used to play got any tips for getting back into the groove? I think I improved today simply because I was standing a little better, gripping the cue in a better place and my eyes were going properly between the cue ball and object ball when I was feathering up. I still found I cued across the ball a bit though, especially if I had to put any power into the shot.
Any helpful little tips would be much appreciated. I'm hoping that as I play a bit more, I'll have a bit of a eureka moment and it will all feel much more natural again. I was never Ronnie O'Sullivan, but I could play to a standard where I found the game more enjoyable, if that makes sense.
