Andy Robertson

We also have Souza.
Ok so we have in LB :

1. Udogie - 23, proven unable to keep fit across a season
2. Spence - 25 better on the right, obviously
3. Robertson - 32, one of the oldest LB in the PL and not injury free
4. Souza - 20 years old and is raw
5. Davies - 33 can't be criticized on spurs forums

Doesn't really inspire confidence nor stability if we keep changing the starting line up.
Even if Souza goes out on loan, don't we have a squad limit of 25 senior players and 4 of them are are LBs?
I thought we are lacking quality in attack.

What's odd to me is that you're suggesting it's a bad thing to have players that can cover different positions.

Davies is as much of a CB as a LB these days, Spence is a RB who can play LB, Souza seemingly as much of a winger as a LB at this early point in his Spurs career, and then two out and out LBs (with one particularly injury prone as you rightly point out).

If you'd like to add to the hysteria, you could also label VDV as a LB too, because he's played there. 6 left backs!?!? What are we going to do!?!?!?!? Won't someone think of the children???????????? Probably better to just cancel the season before it starts to save the humiliation.

If your main priority is flapping about registration rules with HG/AG when wildly exaggerating the numbers a la Gutterboy, fair play to you, congrats on not having real stuff to get stressed about this summer.

Yes I'm not quite sure what we are doing LB squad number wise. It's too many players for 1 position. Tbh I would love to have been bold this season and gone with just Udogie and Souza. Obviously that isn't the plan but I don't quite understand Udogie, Robertson and Davies for LB and that's assuming Souza goes out in loan.

Seems like overkill with 3 injury prone players for LB and the hole that they aren't all injured at the same time. 1 of them being past it anyway and potentially a 2nd also having seen better days.

All a bit strange imo.

Squad planning at spurs is bizzare
But we don’t know what the outgoing plans are yet

I get that, but then we renewed with Davies as well. That part doesn't make a lot of sense. He will be taking up a vital squad place to hopefully never play.
Must admit that was a bit of a head scratcher... I can only imagine that, since we don't have that many homegrown players in the squad and are not being linked with British players, he is not really taking a squad space and the terms of his extension must have been beneficial enough to make the experience and leadership he provides worthwhile.... but then what do I know????:confused::confused:

quality over quantity

The only significant thing for me is whether there will be a drop off in standard from our assumed 1st choice LB Udogie when he's not on the pitch. My feeling is that there will be unless we use Danso and Senesi in the middle and move VDV to LB.

I also want to see Udogie's own standards increase slightly. He needs to defend better, concede less free kicks in dangerous areas and also work on his own delivery. Robbo being around might help him with the latter. Davies never had that in his locker anyway.
