Android Lollipop

Just had the terrible misfortune of installing this on my Sony Xperia z3 compact, and now everything is one big clusterfudge.

Battery drains quicker, menus are less intuitive and uglier, new bloatware has popped up and for some reason the phone is directly connected to a Google+ account I never use and never have previously told my phone about.

Basically I want out. I want my old, well functioning operating system back, and I never want lollipop again.

Can anyone help?

can you not just install the previous version, does it do baseband updates or something stopping that?

5.1 apparently fixes a lot of battery drain issues.

For the meantime, try turning off locations services.

I had battery drain issues on my Nexus when I installed Lollipop last year and had to do a factory reset to resolve it. I haven't seen what Sony have done with Lollipop but I think that the stock Android version is really good.

That's a point - is your phone available in a Google Play Edition?

It's a bit more complicated than just doing an over the air update, but I massively improved my phone by installing the Google version.

It really is worth rooting and going to Cyanogen, makes a huge difference to the performance of the device. There are some decent guides on rooting on youtube.
