I've finally got a new job after months of searching (starting next month) and after being treated like crap in my last (contract) role :-({|= I really think this could be the job in which I can really succeed and develop my career!

Hey I know you lot don't know me from Adam (and therefore probably don't really care) :) but I thought I'd post this anyway because I'm so happy I got the job! \o/\o/

Nice one. Doing what? In what sector?

Cheers mate, its going to be an internal audit role in the construction industry, working for a firm with a wide range of specialisms across a range of sectors. I've previously only worked in the public sector so this role will really expand my career!

Nice one mate always good to hear people getting a job in this (cliche alert) "current climate". Just goes to show that there is work out there if your whilling to make the effort to get it

What now?

Do you know DHSF?

Is he as cool as everybody says?

Funnily enough I did work for the same company in a different internal audit team for a while, small world eh? Been drinking with him (along with a load of other people from work) a couple of times back when I was working there all seriousness he's a top bloke!

Nice one fella.

I've got another interview on 15th that I'm really confident about, so may well be celebrating with you soon. Fingers crossed.

Congrats, I'm pleased for you.

Thanks Crawley I know from your previous thread that you have had a bit of a rough time with the redundancy, but you've obviously got a lot of knowledge and experience and those two things do count for a lot. It's rough when Youare looking for work particularly if you go through a spell without even getting any interviews like I did, but once the interviews start coming the job will surely follow! (sorry that was meant in an encouraging rather than patronising way, hopefully it came across as te former rather than the latter!)

No, that's fine mate!!!

Actually, the redundancy still has not happened, despite everything pointing towards it........and it still could at anytime.
This is purely a chance to escape the crap i currently work in, and get a position with a recognised good employer.

If I'm successful on the 15th, I'm going to push my luck and ask my current company to give me voluntary redundancy, as I'm earning roughly ?ú5000 per year more than the equivalent employee who joined this place direct. I was transfered over 30 months ago with all pay and benefits retained, so I'm costing them a bit.

We'll see.
