10 spurs fans stabbed by masked gang

Anyone know if those attacked were 'lads' out there looking for it or just regular fans?

How many have we taken out there?

Typical Italian cowards. Turning up and having a row with fists is one thing but wearing helmets and brandishing knives, bats etc is cowardly in the extreme

The staff of the pub have said that the spurs fans were not even drunk and were actually being very quiet. Also, there were a lot of US Students in the place who were also attacked and even some 'regulars' of the pub.

I heard a report on the radio which said there were two entrances/exits and they came in both simultaneously whilst a group also stayed outside should anyone manage to get out...It's just truly disgusting and shocking how some human beings behave.

The bar owner has stated that the Spurs fans were mostly middle aged 40 - 50 somethings .

I think Gazza should reconsider and make a point.

From that report;

“The whole thing went on for about 10 minutes, there was no police at all. We were saying ‘they’ll be here any moment’, but they never came."

Hang your heads in shame Italian police.

Just listened to another eye witness report from a fan on TalkSport who said they actually saw a police car turn around and leave when it kicked off.

Sadly an all too regular occurrence in "Stab City"

Lazio v Tottenham: Italian football still mired in the dark ages of 'Ultra' violence, especially in Rome, the 'Stab City' - Telegraph

It is an unwanted title, and one which the glossy brochures never refer to, but ask English football supporters which European destination they regard as 'Stab City' and it will not take long for Rome to top a straw poll of opinion.

With at least 10 Tottenham supporters injured in the Italian captain last night - one critically - following clashes with Lazio fans ahead of tonight's Europa League tie at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome has endured its latest night of shame.

A quick Google search of 'English clubs violence in Rome' generates a deluge of responses, dating back to the stabbings of Liverpool supporters following the European Cup final triumph against AS Roma in 1984.

In 2001, Liverpool fans were once again the victims of stabbings and buttock-slashings - the Roman dialect even has a word for that sickening practice - puncicate - during trips to the city in the February and December of that year.

Five years later, three Middlesbrough fans were stabbed and 10 more injured after being attacked by Roma 'Ultras' before a Uefa Cup tie.

In April 2007, Manchester United supporters were the victims of attacks outside the stadium prior to a Champions League tie against Roma. Inside the Stadio Olimpico, the travelling fans were subjected to brutal treatment by baton-wielding police which led to 11 supporters being hospitalised.

Once again, in 2009, United fans were stabbed in the buttocks on the way to the stadium prior to the Champions League final against Barcelona.

Thats the thing. The police are corrupt over there. fudging stuck in the old ages. And you have Herbie talking so much about the racists here when in actual fact its all blown out of proportion in comparison to Italy and the like.

=D>

I went to school with two of them, one of them ashley. Really not football factory types at all. It was unprovoked, pointless and cowardly. Its gutting, so fudging angry

Itides off their nut on drugs and each others spunk. That country is full of retards.

How many spurs fans ended up in the cells compared to the attackers?

Nazio saying it was Roma fans. What's the word from people there? I mean, they would say that but it seems unlikely it was Roma on the face of it.

They will do. It could have ramifications for them, especially if it's proven the police didn't show/turned away (no surprise to me)...the best thing those lads can do is find a consular official fast and officially log the incident and all which happened. In those situations you need to get the embassy/consular staff involved immediately, because evidence and intent gets skewed very very quickly.

WOW !!! just posted on twitter
