Would you fly on a Boeing 737 Max?

It's not clear which pilot said what, but I'd assume the politeness of "Why did you do that?" means it's the First Officer asking the Captain, rather than the "WTF did you do that for" that would probably have been the other way around. It's also very likely that the FO would have been the one...

Agree with all of that except your last sentence. I believe sociopathy is the next stage in human evolution.

People have been saying that since forever. Don't ever forget that in 20 years, these will be the "good old days" you nostalgically look back upon.

Is what Farage is doing any different to what Starmer did? Promised the world that everyone with half a brain knew we couldn't afford. Promised to be a different to the last lot.

Oh yes I can. Panto aside, if someone has just punched one of my female colleagues in the nose, I'd consider that an admirable level of restraint.

Evolution, it's not that complex. In fact one can observe in animals with large birth rates and relatively high genetic defect rates. None of this requires a designer. In fact, much of it makes the concept of a designer less likely.

So the agency that denied it was in court and investigated for its (lack of) actions. Great, that's how it should be. We should be seeing similar for all those northern councils, police forces and any senior govt minister that dismissed it - including the PM.

Everyone is upset about it all. Officials at all levels were telling us this problem didn't exist, that we didn't need an enquiry on it, that it was just racist, "dog whistle" politics. That hasn't happened with the other issues you've pointed out. That's why nobody had to raise awareness of...

You're right with you last sentence. Absolute 100% belief in anything is faith and that is nonsense. However, I'd qualify your statement. If agnosticism is a scale from 0 (Godtardery) to 100 (atheism), then the only rational position is at 99.999° on the scale.

I've yet to hear anyone say that women and children are always believed and that this problem doesn't exist. Is that something you've heard? Have you heard anyone heading up a council or govt say that in order to keep votes? It's not the same thing.

People aren't campaigning because there's nobody denying it exists to win votes. If there were parts of the country where neckbearded basement dwellers block voted through their local simp leader then maybe some MPs would pander to them and people would have to campaign about it. But that's...

You're probably right. But those are issues people already agree about - I don't see anyone denying them. This issue has been ignored for years though. The fact that it's taken campaigning from a mental fringe party for people to finally see it is of massive concern.

The screaming in the face is somewhat ungentlemanly too. I noticed the umpire was over quickly for a word though. Shame they haven't been so quick to tell both sides to retire hurt or to get on with it.

    The "Why" thread

This is a common argument with a relatively simple rebuttal. If the idea of this world/universe just happening to exist is too improbable, then what of the probability of a creature so ridiculously unlikely that it is able to create all of this. If your argument is on likelihood, then the...
