Formula One on Sky

Why do they have to have 2 sets of qualifying when there is a sprint race? MotoGP has a sprint every race and where you qualify for the sprint is your grid position for the race as well

Congrats Lando and McLaren! I'm happy to see a likable lad win it again. Agree with Scara though, start each race in reverse championship order, and the races would be much more fun to watch.

And no more bricky street tracks.
Don't agree with that. Many of the street circuits are actually better for overtaking and generally more entertaining than a hell of a lot of the designed race tracks.
A lot of the Hermann Tilke tracks are so fudging boring.

Because formula 1 is different to Moto Gp? My guess is money. It's always money. More TV, more spectators etc.

Watching the latest Drive to Survive now, I still find it baffling that they’re allowed to drive when it rains. No visibility with that speed - could be fatal surely. Why are they allowed to do this? Crazy.

Their engine tweak is going to get nerfed though, isn't it? Where they have the ingenious engineering for the compression ratios.
That's might knock half a second off

Long long season, anything can and will happen this year
True! Development of the cars will be dramatic. Those teams that can get more from these new complex electrical hybrids will reap the benifits.

I bought a McLaren and they won the championship. Just bought an electric Merc yesterday!

Good first race, glad to see Russell win, and Lewis back at the right end.

Bit too easy to overtake though now, too much faffing and fighting rather than dialling in and getting consistent lap times.

Other than the safety its hard not to agree with this

F1 is another of those sports I have nno interest in so how realistic this I have no idea.
I do however see some comparisons to what has happened and is happening with golf.
It's all about the money and "growing the sport", ie even more money, usually fleeced from grass roots golfers.
Sports administrations should be next in line for the firing squad after politicians come the glorious revolution.

You need revolution administrators if you want it televised though

Not just golf, could look closer to home with football. It's nowhere near as authentic as it used to be, all about the £££. Just the way sport has 'progressed' in general....
