Kevin Danso

I feel like I spent about 5 minutes watching him towel dry the ball. Frustrating.
Time to give the ball boys the power to pre-dry the balls on the cones.

It was certainly annoying when he was doing it in additional time at the end of the game.

Flies under the radar given he's usually only on to replace Romero, who is definitely more gifted in terms of passing, vision and overall ability.

But my word, what a rock Danso is defensively - blocks every shot, is an absolute monster in the air.

I instinctively feel safer when we're defending crosses into the box if he's in there, because he will simply not get beaten to a header. Plus with his long throws, he's also not a bad option to chuck on if we need a goal late on, much like Maguire is chucked on for United for a similar reason.

All good things so far, hope he keeps it up. :)

What a great signing he has turned out to be
He's the perfect 3rd defender, good enough to come on in an absence and there is no significant drop in defending quality. He's also reasonably able to play both sides, he's a great squad member and I'd have no concerns honestly with him taking the starting Beth in the long term if selling Romero made financial sense.

I guess the long-term hope is Vuskovic.
But, yes, absolutely happy with Danso for squad depth and rotation in defence.

I like the fella and he's been a great addition. Proper centre back and seems a super fella on top of it all. But he is a bit clumsy. You wouldn't feel comfortable defending high up the pitch with him. This is not a dig but he's more Harry Maguire/Eric Dier than Micky van de Ven/Virgil van Dijk.

In the right team, which we are at the moment, he looks excellent.
