It's a shame it hasn't worked with him this season. I really did think he was something that would be revitalised in the Ange system but of course he got injured and then he just never seemed to be a prime selection for Ange. Something I have to say I think has been a mistake even the poor form some of our midfielders have shown at times.

We really do lack a controller deep and he's the closest thing to it.
