*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea OMT ***

We've been 10th best in the league ever since the first Chavski loss, 24 games ago.

I think this is a bit unfair, as you are including that 5 game stretch, which included the Chelsea game, when we were completely gutted by injuries (and still played well enough to easily beat Spam and Villa and get a draw at Wolves). If you exclude those games, we actually have the 4th best record.

fudging USELESS TEAM OF UTTER macaronS!

I fudging hate Tottenham now! I'm fudging furious! Losing twice against that shower of brick is absolutely inexcusable!
They are not as bad as their league position might indicate. Based on their performances they should be a top 4 or 5 team. They have lost only one league game in their last 11. They will easily be one of the teams challenging for top 4 next season, if they continue on their current path.

Can’t argue with that .. lots of pace but not much guile in that group

But son is like really bad.. for a guy who finishes at best in world level he controls the ball like a bomb

People still now say he’s streaky. I’d say that’s wrong in terms of his goals, but his overall play is streaky, not consistent. He can play crap and still score. So yeah streaky in terms of overall form but not as a goalscorer. He’s the antithesis of that in the last few seasons.

To me he looks very tense and erratic now, which in turn leads to his bad ball control. When in top form, his control and touch is smooth and effortless. Now he looks like a spastic.

You laugh @Baleforce but with the hundred million we got from Kane plus naming rights....All within ffp we could have got him. His contract was up and it was a nominal fee from PSG. There's only one striker available with Kanes level available and we had the means. Laugh away as we try and fail to get Wilson. Maybe Parrott/Scarlett is the answer. Ange doesn't think so clearly.
This is such a naive statement. Mbappe earns £1.2 million a week at PSG. That £100m (which is actually less than that) from the Kane sale would get eaten up in a season and a half and we would have one player's salary accounting for almost 15% of our squad costs. You'd be surprised how quickly that FFP wiggle room will shrink away. And that's even assuming that he would choose us over Real Madrid, which is another naive assumption.

Tiredness and fitness
He has been carry injuries for some time without us knowing
I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case again

We could have got Mbappe if the idiot in charge had sold the naming rights. Imagine that. What a statement that would have made. Instead we will probably try and obviously fail to get Watkins for 65 million. Wilson for 50 million will also fail. Son isn't a sole CF. But here we are. I have hopes Ange has a plan. That's all I have.
Good fudge. I've seen some mad statements on here but this is up there.

"Let's batter Levy for not signing Mbappe"...Jesus wept.

When people say he’s streaky they’re not talking about his season totals. They are pretty consistently high. They’re referring to his in-season scoring where he can go through phases of scoring lots of goals followed by barren spells.

Anyway tbh I think this is overplayed a bit. Most strikers do that but it seems he’s held to a higher standard because of how good he is.

This is exactly what I've been saying to your all season but you always argued against me ..

No
I’ve been saying the issue at CF needs fixing

You can have Messi on the wing but without a striker we’re fudged

The priority has to to be there first

I’ve never said we don’t need an extra wide player. I actually said I think we will get one many times uk the werner thread.

But it’s pointless without a presence forward.

I know it's all in jest but I hate this trait among spurs fans to always assume the worst. We've actually smashed the last few transfer windows and I'd love it if everyone in the stadium/the fanbase in general was a bit more willing to back the team and a bit less willing to give up at the first sign of trouble.

Its what fans of most clubs do and we are no exception SAD TO SAY.

We need both.

What I've said to you in the past is that none of our forward line is of the required quality. Said it loads of times, but there's always been pushback....

Because your prior using the issues in the wrong order imo
We can have a world beater wide but it would do nothing if there feeding the ineffective son as a striker
Werner playing wide has beaten his man and had to pass backwards because of no one in ten box …
Fix that first or at the same time if we have the money
But we have bigger priorities which is an actual striker and a 6
The rest could work better with that alone

It's not really a priority issue, I just don't see the point in signing Werner as a prime starter when he's not good enough, it's a waste of money imo. You can get that striker you want and then we have Werner or worse feeding him, it's fixing one problem area but just adding another problem. But I've always said the forwards are the weakest part of the team relative to everywhere else although I agree we really need a DM.

Werner feeding a striker is much better than say Williams feeding no one….

Funny isn't it that slot who has only had success in a minor league is seen as acceptable for Liverpool, yet ange, who has success in several leagues and on the international stage is seen as a step down.
Is the Dutch league as poor as the Scottish League? Think it is the 5th highest rated league in Europe isn't it? Not too far behind France.

There's people on here who think the German, Italian and Spanish league are all crap.
Anything other than the PL isn't worth bothering with.

Think we need more than that personally. At least two forwards to replace the ones in the starting lineup now. A number 6 and an upgrade/competition for Maddison.

I wouldn't stop there but if we can get 2 good players in those positions it will solve a lot of issues but 2 hard areas to fill.

He laughed so hard at spiderman when he asked him to join. I think we can safely say he ain't ever coming even if we could afford him :)
