These people sound like sociopaths. You would be surprised just how many there are. They are the types who will climb the greasy pole and succeed.
 
they've done it again. the fcuking cnuts. 3 times this week they have gone out to lunch and left me and my workmate here. they just say they are going to "play a boardgame" in a boardroom, and then get up and go and have lunch. I want to punch all of them, really I do.

This is not teambuilding, this is pretty demolarizing. When they come back shall I say "good team lunch?" I never say anything but I think I have finally had enough and couldnt give a brick if it kicks off....

sorry but needed to bring it up and need some advice. my other boss is not in and he is the quick qitted cnut that always wins an argument so its a perfect day to say something.

Do they all leave their teas/coffees unattended at various points during the day? If so I would suggest purchasing some laxatives and spiking their drinks, then leave it a couple of hours and ask if they had a good lunch?

Ps. This may in fact not be such a great career enhancing idea!

Don't see the problem here. This is their lunch hour and they can socialise with whoever they want. Why would they invite you if they dont like you, or you dont like them ?

You cant really force them to go to lunch with you, I wouldnt like being told I had to go to lunch with people I didnt want to go with. Infact I like most people I've ever worked with, but I only go to lunch with friends (rather than colleagues who I like but wouldnt call a friend).
 
Because its on company expenses fella. Which eats into the pool of money for the whole floor which is for the bonus and pay rises. If it was their own money I wouldn't give a brick!

It's just prickly behavior, the manner in which they're going about it. Trying to be all sneaky and brick; that's high school girl drama and it sounds like those coworkers need to grow up. And as someone mentioned earlier, cliques can bring out the worst in certain people who might otherwise be quiet on their own.

If they're allowed to eat on the company dime, then I would double-down to make up for lost time. Filet mignon for you for the rest of the year.


Very few things annoy me more than cliques.
Even when working in academia, I've encountered far too many cliques. In retrospect, this should not have been surprising to me because all it takes is a big-headed danchev and the inevitable few that follow him or her. Kind of sounds like a cult, actually....

Anyway a few weeks back i get an e-mail form one of our contractors. Now this emil is clearly addressed to me but to my amazement it's already been opened and someone has replied to it. The information is totally wrong and it's signed off with my name. Naturally i'm tinkled off and i tell everyone that i want to speak to them at lunchtime (there's about 12 people in my department that had access to my account being that it's not really a personal account). At lunchtime everyone is sitting down and i ask who replied to my mail with the wrong info (i knew it was this bitch or one of her 2 cronies). Nobody says anything. I flat out tell the bitch and her 2 bitch ass cronies that i know it was one of them. They again say fudge all but deny it so i just leave it.

Around a week or so later i go to the kitchen and the bitch is there with 1 of her cronies. This man is making tea for 4 others and one of them suffers from type 2 diabetes. This dirty little slag actually has the audacity to laugh and joke about dropping 3 spoons of sugar in his tea to "see what happens". The guy that suffered from type 2 diabities has a part of the kitchen dedicated to his dietary needs which includes sweetners but this woman was actually trying to convince her crony to do it (and that taco would have done it too). I just say to myself fudge it and give her a verbal battering. I mean i destroyed her and the other guy verbally (i wanted to smack the guy tbh).

Anyway they run to the manager and tell him some twisted version of what happened and i'm called into the office. I admit to most of the verbal assault (i deny offering the guy out after work naturally lol) and say i would do it again and again. He refers to it as Gross misconduct and says i could very well be fired. A few days later he tells me the decision is that i get 6 months probation and nothing else.

Fast forward a week and his line manager and a director inform him that they want me to be the one that manages one of their sites in Vauxhall. Anyway since i wrote that post i've already told colleagues what has happened and made sure the dirty bitch and the 2 pricks heard every word of it.

I have always spoken up...every job I've ever had I've been known to be difficult. But I'm lucky that I work in sales, so your number on the board trumps everything really.

Nice guys generally come last and I believe you need to do what's right in life....this is an example of karma I believe, you stepped in and did what was right and now you've been rewarded for it.

Only joking!! Join a gym! I go at lunchtimes and this avoid contact with fellow work ****s and awkwardness.

No one invites me to lunch but then i pick up my locksmith jobs for the week on a monday and im on my own the rest of the week. Say hello in the cab office now and again but only do pre booked contract jobs now.

I have my own clique im the only one in it but then i am the person i like best in the world.

I have done in the past not anymore the money is contracted work and fitted locks for offices and business premises. Might come across as a bit of a brick now but im thinking of starting up on my own and cutting out the middle man and then i will earn more and go back to a life of idle bliss and part time work in a couple of years. The guy whose company it is a nice guy but i can and would do it so much better then him and could take so many of his contracts away from him, just not sure i can be bothered.
