( . Y . ) Tottenham v Chelsea | OMT ( . Y . )

He stood where every keeper would. The wall is there to deal with the near post but Alonso got the kick spot on, the dip was perfect.

Maybe. He does not always inspire confidence in the big games in general though. I've a feeling Courtois would have got to it. But we'll never know. :)

They same the game is won and lost in midfield!
Not true all the time. Wanyama is a midfielder Played poor by all accounts was terrible.
Now then..if I was the Manager I would have desperately wanted to sign a good midfielder who could play a bit and score goals. We could have replaced Wanyarma. This obviously is
How the game is played. We did not have that option today..it appears Poch not confident that Wicks could change anything brings on Sissoko. Cheatski have so many options ..they have depth in their squad..we were always going to struggle with this. More skill coming from the middle of the park was what was needed and we didn't,t have it. It would have given the likes of Erikson Deli and Kane a lift.
What do you expect without this depth in the squad. We have a great set of players. Chances are not going to come round that easily again and we,ll end up losing out by not being aware..or at least that's how it appears for not strengthening while we have these players before it,s too late.
Now had we signed someone we may now have had six points instead...we're sitting on our hands again. I can,t understand this.

Dembele was a beast throughout
Eriksen was up to the physicality
Kane was unlucky, took a fair share of ankle-taps
alder andd verts were pretty solid, great understanding between both

i am suspecting that wanyama and trippier wasn't fully fit/match ready...

...perhaps poch is testing the first eleven for this season. sadly it shows that our wingbacks aren't ready and we need some speed somewhere.

Think thats a pretty decent assessment. Only challenges are that I thought Davies looked quite useful today and I'm struggling to think of any team in the league which has a better back-up left back than him.

On your final 5 words, agreed - in the final third. The main attacking weakness which I thought we had last year was someone in an attacking position with either real pace or skill to beat a man in a square foot - I'm really hoping that we can address that in the remainder of the window. We need better options off the bench

Dembele was sooo good again today, what a beast he was, very driven ! Wish he scored when he let fly with his left when he went down the middle. Eriksen is also playing really well atm

Lost to a Chelsea side w/o Hazard, Costa, Fabregas, Cahill, Matic...
Lost again on Wembley...
Conceded 2 goals from 2 shots on target...

Tried to change things with the subs of Sissoko, who made only two actions - lost the ball and elbowed Alonso, and Janssen, who even didn't touch the ball, because of the time.
2nd half performance was utter pathetic: hundreds of crosses and backward passes. Dead wings in attacking third (Davies and Trippier were at least one level below usual Rose/Walker combo).
Wanyama, Dier and Alli had an awful game.
Kane was again very unlucky not to score and by far our best player in 1st half.

Levy needs to invest asap to increase squad depth or we possibly won't finish in top-4.
I'm sick of constantly reading BS about Sissoko every game and all he's done is lose the ball - what a load of nonsense. He only had the ball a handful of occsssions and gave it simple to one of our players. This sort of spacegoating that goes on after each game towards him is pathetic and embarrassing and if he did perform as bad as some of you make out he wouldn't be getting near the pitch....

It can't be a coincidence that we lost again in this manner.
Played well for the majority of the game and lost to a free kick.

They out muscled and were quicker than us in midfield.
Wanyama was poor and didn't look match fit.
It happens, pick ourselves up and move.

Our corners and free kicks are dreadful. Like we wanted to give Courtois catching practice.

Thats a bit harsh. Firstly we scored off one of them, secondly Kane had a free header from about 6 yards early in the second half which he fluffed....and lastly you cant just chip a ball in....given the opposition defence is generally pretty good, you have to take a risk and hit it with pace/dip etc so that it has the chance of succeeding, and that invariably makes it harder to execute
