You must have seen him when he came on against us - his cameo was amazing and amusing all at once. :p He terrified me with his ability to get past our press and evade challenges from all sorts of players, and then made me laugh when he consistently made truly horrible passes and shots after creating the time and space to pull off what would surely have been an assist or a goal, had he been a better decision-maker.

Same thing happened when I saw him against Bournemouth and Liverpool (he started those games) and in his cameo against Southampton.

Yeah, but we can afford a better class of potential than Adama Traore. If we really tried, we could probably get someone like Bernardo Silva in - he has silky dribbling skills comparable to Traore (not better, but comparable) and has a much, much better footballing brain to boot. Not saying Silva is who we should or will get, but he's an example of the fact that there are better young players than Traore out there who could be had for much the same price that Boro will demand for their flawed youngster.

out of the afcon gives us just under a week to get it done.Nkondou is here or there Zaha can do a job now.Rose and Walker can't do all the flank work until the end of the season.Not confident we will see Lamela at all this season.

If we're after a player of that ilk then I'd much rather Adama Traore. Coming from Barcelona he's obviously going to have some technical ability, he's got good feet, can go either way and is ridiculously quick. I'd be very happy if we signed him.

I think this guy could be a weapon. Many clubs will be sniffing around. Raw, but like Bale, this kid has pace to burn.

I just have the feeling that if we sign Zaha, it will primarily be to replace Walker on the right in the 343 (in a back four, Trippier or Dier would be right-back). And I think that would work really well against most teams we play against. You might scoff, but look at Moses at Chelsea this season.
