Gareth Bale

But still it hurts to read. This could end up worse than the Modric saga.

Unlikely. Unless he signs a new contract this summer, it's assured he'll be gone at the end of 2012-2013, since he'll only have two years left on his contract and we won't want to lose him on a free/for a low fee. We'll know it's coming. Unlike in Modric's case, where he tried to fudge us over one year into a SIX-year deal.

Man the modest and humble AS has now joined the 'I told you so' camp. It's been a long time coming but i welcome you and hope you have a productive and peacfeful stay at this camp. Daily activities include:

* 9:00 am = The 'I told you so' national anthem
* 13:30 pm = The 'look i was right' basketball tournament
* 15:45 pm = The 'It feels so good being me' Javelin throw

and various other activities.

LOL ...ya damn skippy i is going to revel in that. you have no idea how much flack i took on the bale as a full back or as a forward / forward off the channel (ala henry). you'd have though it was the most stupid thing ever suggested to move him to left back and buy a left sided wing playmaker

sheesh....if only i was a strong as the saviour, i'd have my own cross

There will be a story out from Bale in the next few days or so telling us how he is happy at Spurs, he's always said he is happy at Spurs, but you dont know what the future will hold.

Harry said that he thought Bale would have more devastating effect as LB but needed to learn more. Only thing is he needs to improve his defending IMO. But it does give him more space to attack and build up his speed by acceleration. Makes him harder to mark by playing deeper. Similar to walker, but has a much more wicked cross.

Bale as left back? I distinctly remember you banging the drum for Bale as a central striker, or am I mistaken?

He also did say that he wanted him at LB before his central striker idea. LB idea was during the 09/10 season i think and Striker idea was early this season (maybe late lat season) if i'm not mistaken.

it was both, nayim and a KD (who has a remarkable memory given how he remembered that i called zambia as the next big thing from africa) will attest.

move bale to left back and play a wide playmaker on the left wide and still have two up front.....or

move bale to a central forward and get either a left winger or a wide playamker and leave the width to the full back

i think bale could excel in both roles, obviously he would get roasted defensively but i am hoping he gets help...

LOL aactually you know what, where KD has a good memory i see now on the flip side you have a bad one LOL...i distinclty remember arguing with you about bale at left back cause you kept on mentioning that he cant defend

So the press have reported that "Bale would like to play for Barca" big deal and no surprise what top player wouldn't.

I'm waiting for the press to release photos of him meeting Barca players and officials in a West End hotel hours after a home defeat, then I might believe there's more than just talk.

Gareth Bale uncertain over Tottenham future

Gareth Bale admits he will consider his future at Tottenham if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.

The left-sided midfielder told BBC's Football Focus: "If we don't [qualify for the Champions League], I have to discuss what's best for myself."

More to follow.

So in other words - he is off, if we dont make top 4

Bye then.

Don't need characters like this at the club, just get as much as we can from City as possible.

The implosion is in full effect.

Spurs choke.
Harry blames everyone but himself.
The fans turn on everyone including themselves.
Star players start to talk of leaving.

Since the penalty we had at the Emirates, I think the "worst case scenario" has played out in nearly every situation with regards to the club.

You have to laugh.

Really hope there isn't a backlash towards him. If he wants to go then fine. He has been bloody brilliant to watch at times. Thanks for the good times.

As long as we do our jobs properly in the transfer market (something we struggle with nowadays) we'll be fine.

It is a bit of a joke really.

Star players leave because they have failed to perform when required to so we don't make top four.
