(why are Watford called "the hornets" anyway when they have a bloody moose in their badge?)

Players who played for both clubs (help me out here) - Pat Jennings, Heurelho Gomes, Etienne Capoue, Younes Kaboul, Darren Caskey, Danny Hill, Ronnie Rosenthal, Espen Baardsen, Alan Nielsen, Ramon Vega, Stephen Kelly, Andros Townsend, Mark Falco, Ronnie Burgess. Will be a sad (but hopefully sweet) farewell for me with White Hart Lane (also my first match since x-mas 2013). We've won 12 of the 13 matches I've seen us play there (including wins over Scum and ManU, one draw against WBA), so obviously hoping to avoid defeat in my last match there.

COME ON, TOTTENHAM! :D :D

------------Lloris
Dier-------Alder-----Verts
Walker--Wanyama--Davies
---Son-------Alli-----Eriksen
-----------Janssen

Subs: Vorm, Wimmer, 2CV, Trippier, Onomah, GKN, Sissoko

(Presuming Dembele will need a rest for this one)

I'm a bit nervous about M'baye Niang, who I think is an excellent player. But W3-1

You fudging monster. What have you done to our club?

Sometimes I wonder if people are intentionally trying to goad the OMT gods into anger. Watch Eriksen get a career ending injury, Ali come out in a Real shirt and Poch reveal that we've inserted a "must start if fit" clause into Sissoko's contract.

It's meant to be a hart. Perhaps that's how they say it up north :)

They used to have a hornet as their badge, they now have a Hart as a link to Hertfordshire, as I think that they were the only club from Herts in the football league when they changed it. Also I think they were called The Hornets due to their kit (yellow and black)

My first game in a while, and my farewell to the Lane v.1.

I'm driving and I always used to park in the ASDA at Edmonton Green and walk down.

Anyone know if that's still doable (especially on a Saturday) or are there time restrictions in the car park? (I'm happy to pay whatever it is).

If that's a no-go, where else should I head for parking?

Cheers in advance... COYS!

Very attacking.

I'd love to get front four in. Janssen has to be the focal point but Son's goal threat is huge so would be tough to leave him out.

Leaves us with one DM and no Dembele. Might be enough and I can't I squeeze 12 into 11.

I think Poch will start with Dembele and Son might miss out.

That fudging badger looks rabid .. I like it

Week between games after this one, back to as close to first 11 as we can manage with injuries

- Lloris, Walker, Jan, Dier, Toby, Davies, Wanyama, Dembele, Erikson, Dele, Janssen.

- Son off the bench at 60-65 minutes for Debele, perhaps GKN to play same role as yesterday depending on scoreline

Son is more of a goal threat, but best against tiring teams, Janssen occupied the opposition more, will bully and wear on them. Janssen with Wanyama/Dembele behind mean we will hold on to the ball for stupid amounts of possession. Gives Janssen an opportunity to build on that link up with Dele/Eriksen we are starting to see.

Would be fun to see another spanking, but this like yesterday is just a get the job done game, take your chances, don't give them a sniff.

Watford with quite an injury crisis - just like when we faced them on New Years Day.

Think we are going to win this comfortably.

with us playing before Chelsea perhaps a BIG win will go some way to put that little bit of doubt in their minds going in to their match

We could end up utterly savaging them. Or there could be some heroic performances by Watford replacements until we get a late goal.
But surely we won't lose this one...?

I hope we don't get sucked into believing we'll waltz this given Watford's injuries in their defence; make no mistake as excitable and heroic those final minutes were vs Swansea, we got out of a jail we needlessly climbed into. We cannot afford to give away a similar goal vs Watford and go behind; Swansea are in the bottom 3 and Watford are simply a better side. A much more physical side at that too. We cannot afford to have the periods of sloppy play that we did vs Swansea in the first half.

I hope Lloris is back as well; Vorm is a good back-up but Watford may be lethal from set-pieces and i think we need Lloris to help combat that as much as possible.
I also hope Wanyama is back to allow us to start with 3 at the back. If he is i would start Son as the spearhead of the attack.
If Wanyama doesn't play i would be tempted to start Janssen up from in a 4-2-3-1 to give us a physical platform further up the field to compensate a bit.

Clean sheet please!

Prediction: 2-0 to Spurs, Alli with both

Given their injury list and suspension, I think we can anticipate them packing the back and middle and hoping for a counter.

Consequently, I think we need to go wide and the best way to achieve that is to go three at the back with the full backs operating really wide and stretching them. I don't think we need two beasts in the middle for this game and therefore would rest Dembele if Wanyama is fit to start.

So my team is :

.....................Lloris........................

.....Dier..........Toby...........Verts..........

..................Wanyama........................

Walker.....................................Davies

...................Eriksen...........................

.............Dele.............Son....................

....................VJ.................................

If Davies isn't cutting the mustard in the WB role, then NKD should be introduced EARLY in the second half.

This is probably going to be my last game at WHL, so I am really hoping we manage to pull something special out the bag.

3-1 ( but hopefully not in the manner of Swansea as I don't think my blood pressure could stand it) Speaking of which, has anyone heard from @StephenH ?
