*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Canning Town Caravan Club OMT ***

Phew, That was an ordeal.
When to the Beach Bar, had my quota of Tusker Lagers.
Had a nice meal of jumbo prawns in garlic.
Game wasn't starting till 8.30 pm our time - a bit later than normal.
So watched the end of Manu vs Arse. Good result for us.
Watched some of Murray in Tennis.

Anyway, with 2-1 down and about 10 minutes to go, The wife decided to go to bed.
She thought we had lost it.
Understandable - specially as she is flying to Nairobi tomorrow for a conference.

However, I had hope for at least a draw. What a comeback :)

I will see her reaction tomorrow morning when we are watching Sky Sports News.

In the meantime have faith. We scored 2 goals from open ply !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pity about Rose against the chelski.:(

COYS

I was just thinking which one I prefer the most

Today
The Bale game
Dier
Or that one
2007 is one of my favorite spurs games ever. At their ground in a game that everyone believed they had to win. Gave them a 2-0 head start pulled up it back to 2-2, gave them a sniff at 3-2, beautiful Berba free kick then broke their hearts with seconds left. The look on curbishley's face, broken hearted Rob Green, Anton "the taco" Ferdinand dropping to his knees with his shirt in his mouth and tears in the eyes of Mr West Ham; doesn't get better than that for me. Today was a good game though.

Don't let their form this season fool you. They were a very effective counter attacking team last season which took some big scalps. Their big players are coming back from injury so it is hardly surprising that they are improving. Plus this is their cup final remember, always raise their game for us. Good win imo.

West Ham has given me lovely memories. The Bale one where Carroll gave the ball to Gareth to have a pop was hilarious!! West Ham fans must have lost years in their lives. The best however is Paul Stalteri's winner. That match still plays back in my head. I really dont know but thank you West Ham!! It was a brill day. I turn one year older tomorrow. Thanks guys and YHWH for the present!

Yes, though they're p1ssing a pile of cash away on loaning Zaza from Juve, Payet will turn 30 in March so his value will plummet soon - they've made a huge gamble selling their stadium in order to rent the Olympic stadium. Once they've burned through the proceeds, they're srewed

One can only hope....

On my way home and still buzzing from the end of that game. We were bad, very bad but I'll dwell on that tomorrow. For now I'm just enjoying the victory. They were annoyingly roostery with their "it's happening again..." after the first goal. What an absolute pleasure it was to return the favour, in spades, at the end.

And a quick call out to Harry' Winks.
Good performance from him and his evident sheer delight at scoring was great to see. He certainly repaid Poch"s faith in him. I think we'll be seeing a lot more of young Mr Winks.

Great result, lovely to get a win like that when it looked all was lost.

We were very bad today imo and they weren't any good either. Them scoring twice flattered them and us scoring 3 times flattered us.

I think Son in place of Janssen from the start of that game and we'd have won it more easily. Our midfielders were poor today, barring Winks who did well considering it was his first start.

I really think Hugo needs to make the decision to go long at times, there is no point playing out from the back as if it's a religion. Playing a team-mate into trouble isn't good football. Yes, play short passes when we have men over, but if they squeeze up and we have two 6ft+ strikers to aim at, then kick it up to them.

For an effective counter attacking side they didn't attack much

They were awful going forward but well organised at the back

When was the last time we turned a game around like that so late? Last I can remember was Wet Spam away in 2007. :p

I,m worried about Sissoko coming back. I hope Poch doesn,t play him again and realises his mistake.
We should get something back on him if we sell or maybe exchange.
