One player from the past 20 years.

If you could magically put one Spurs player from the past 20 years into our current squad, who would it be?

  • Bale?
  • King?
  • Modric?
  • Sheringham?
  • VDV?
  • Doherty???

Bale without a doubt right now. Luka is absolutely brilliant but for the way we play/are set-up, Bale would be tremendous and could roam across the three with impunity.

I agree. His strength, speed and goalscoring ability would be deadly within the current team and tactics.

Bale's energy in this team??? Wow!

Imagine Kane, Alli, Erikssen, Bale, Dembele & Dier! Throw in Son & Lamella to the mix!

I do get that isn't the most critical position to cover but one can dream...

Bale - but it would be interesting to see who Poch would pick.

I'd think Poch would pick Bale

He would love a player with that pace, energy and work rate to add to the players he is already developing

Bale in our team would get 20 goals a season still and would pin the opposition back even further (Watford would be in the stands)

I was going to say Gascoigne but I think he's 24 years ago, can you change the thread to 25 years?

For me, he'd slip in as the central one of the three attackers behind Kane. Mayhem would ensue. I realise his pressing might not be Eriksen or Lamela like but he'd make up for it with control and invention. Another level would be reached.

He wouldn't get picked by many but I think a peak level Keane would be a good fit for this team. Who wouldn't enjoy seeing him waving and pointing, orchestrating moves from the front?
