Watched a movie called sightseers last night, sweet jesus I have not laughed that much in years. Please watch if you have not already, seriously funny.

Some great British movies are made that go under the radar. Much the same as Irish independent films. Sightseers is quaint and quirky, but dark at the same time.

Just watched Whiplash

Great movie but that final scene was seriously something else... ****in awesome scene...

It was stunning, so dark but my complete sense of humour, to be honest I empathised with the main character. Was a top top movie and people should watch it.

I've heard so many good things about that movie and that scene in particular. Might put it on the list.

Seen it, ****ing brilliant. You should watch down terrace, kill list and the borderlands, all great UK films, none flat out comedies but all with the same dark sense of humour

Seen a few Henenlotter movies recently. Basket Case trilogy, Brain Damage, Bad Biology. Holy **** they're bad, but in that somewhat entertaining way. Completely OTT on everything.

Big Hero 6 is really good, obviously a kids film but watched it with my girlfriends little girl and she was engrossed in it, very good indeed

Foxcatcher is the best film I've seen for a year or two. Very creepy and great acting.

Recently seen Birdman and Foxcatcher, can see why they are awards bait.
Foxcatcher lingers in my mind the most. I did not know the real-life facts upon which the film is based. And my appreciation of the film was all the better for it. Tatum, Carell and Ruffalo were all fantastic and the director just created such a creepy and portentous atmosphere.

This looks half decent

A Most Violent Year

A crime drama set in New York City during the winter of 1981, statistically one of the most violent years in the city's history, and centered on a the lives of an immigrant and his family trying to expand their business and capitalize on opportunities as the rampant violence, decay, and corruption of the day drag them in and threaten to destroy all they have built
