***OMT***Tottenham Hotspur FC v Woolwich Wanckers

Let's criticise Poch. The first Tottenham manager to get a point at the Emirates since 2010. With a team who fought and got under the scums skin. And we walked away with our heads high. Well done Poch. COYS

Yeap, I posted early saying I thought this was his first real test and I think it is fair to say that he passed it. It was the attitude of the players which demonstrated that Poch has been able to influence. Selection still a work in progress though and; do we badly need a decent "number 9" in January or what...

you really think that's why the manager is picking him:ross:

KD, put aside the fact that you don't rate Soldado, I don't know what your views are on Harry Kane so let's forget that for a moment, are you saying we should stick with Adebayor and not attempt to sign someone better or a striker who actually tries?

Oh we should attempt to sign a better striker if we can for sure (i wanted us to sign a striker in the last transfer window). The window is closed now though so Ade starts or give Kane a go (as he proved last season that he can score when given a chance as the central striker).

Ok fair enough pal.

…aaaaaand WHAT word does that 'C' stand for?

Good point and great fighting spirit from the lads today! Just hope they can maintain that sort of spirit in games that aren't the NLD! If they do, we'll get points in 9 out of 10 games! I think Rose did very well today. He had no help what so ever from Eriksen. He really is absolute useless defensively! He "cheats" constantly, does not track back quick enough, and leave acres of space, often leaving Rose 1 vs 2. Playing Eriksen out wide really leaves us vulnerable on that side vs good teams, and **** took advantage of it, but thankfully they couldn't convert. Poch made the right move of replacing him with Lennon.

Though to be fair to Eriksen, he made a really good interception first half, then played it to Capoue who then played in Chadli for the best chance of the half.

Then second half, he won the ball high up, gave it to Lamela who played in Chadli for the goal.

So, as far as winning the ball back in areas that hurt the opposition, he's done a good job today. Certainly not a natural defender though. Dembele might be more suitable in some games imo. I'd quite like to see him cutting in from the left actually (Dembele).

What exaclty do you mean by Eriksen "cheating". Lennon was awful when he came on. Granted Eriksen didn't have the best game, but he still won the ball back just before the goal. With Lennon we will get good defensive cover, but absolutely **** all going forward.

Ironically, if Wellbeck wasn't so sh1t and hadn't air-shot they probably wouldn't have scored.

This.
Lloris has anticipated and was already shaping for it.
Spawny feckers.

Gutsy from the boys, happy about that, have to admit I am disappointed we couldn't take all 3 points, agree with the general views of the performances (and must make special mention on Ade's which was terrible - he'd better hope he wasn't fit otherwise that was an absolute shocker!) although I found Eriksen frustrating. The moment he did actually hustle for the ball, he caught Flamini out and, well, we saw what happened!

Decent point. Would've bitten your hand off for it before the game…

Onwards!!!!

Well a better striker than Welbeck would have scored anyway and it wouldn't have gone to the Ox.

But a great point though.

Hang on, are you saying you didn't expect us to win a football match? What gives?
