Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Re: Northumberland Development Project - CPO Now Granted!!!

Yeah, I noticed that one too billy. Not sure what that means exactly, I thought this was the final step of the CPO.

Could just mean that there's paperwork and red tape in between now and the finished process, but might there be more to it? Chances for appeals etc?

Re: Northumberland Development Project - CPO Now Granted!!!

Fcuking kunts the lot of them in that office. Pickles the biggest kunt of the lot.

A little pressure and they pass it... I think there should be an inquiry why its taken so long.. If no fcukin reason I want Pickles on the kickoff spot chained and everyone throwing bags of ****e at him at half time of the shalke game

My guess is that it's a reference to the possibility / likelihood that Archway will appeal.

Re: Northumberland Development Project

From earlier this afternoon:

So no news then, we were told we will hear by the end of this week.

I've dialled down expectations of an announcement until October ends. No one in the government bureaucracy is seriously doing any work until middle of September at the earliest. By the time all the gears get meshed and the wheels turning, it'll be another month. Then a quick flurry of passed documents, flourished signatures and a dramatic announcement to ward off pre-Christmas riots. Followed by hearty chuckles and backslaps over brandies and biscuits at the club.

Patience, fellas.

Patience. ;)

Ha ha ha. I was quite prepared to be paitent. So dialed-down in my expectations. Call it an anger management mechanism.

Now, if I was in London, I'd be among the first to hit Paxton Rd. with my pitchfork on fire to shift these greedy slugs at Archway.

Get. It On.

Re: Northumberland Development Project - CPO Now Granted!!!

So is this the final hoop or are there still more left to jump through?

Still the possibility that Archway will appeal.

Still the possibility, if rumours about a significant redesign are to be believed, that we will need to seek new planning consent.

Well we went out this afternoon and demolished the old petrol station/club shop, so I guess it's full steam ahead

This was the appeal I thought? The original decision was made in April 2013?

Re: Northumberland Development Project - CPO Now Granted!!!

Id imagine the appeal would go to the European courts over state aid, its all done for here, nothing can stop us in the UK.

It would be bloody stupid if we sat on our **** for the last 6 months without sounding out the council about changes to the stadium.

How stupid are these Archway people? How much money are they going to waste on this?

Re: Northumberland Development Project - CPO Now Granted!!!

The interesting bit in the details is that the Planning Inspector wanted to refuse the CPO because of the waiving of the affordable housing S106 after the riots, but Pickles fought to overturn that and grant the CPO.
