I only predicted the results of Scum, Liverpool and ourselves... dismissive of Everton I know, but I'm not interested in looking at the teams below us at the moment.
My data had Arsenal finishing seven points above Liverpool, with Liverpool finishing seven points above us. Ironically I actually think Liverpool will finish above Arsenal, so I guess it shows how different it is predicting out loud with educated guesses and just guessing on a predictor game.

DRAWING - Southampton (H), Stoke (A), West Ham (A)

7 wins, 3 draws, 3 defeats - 24/39 points.
Common sense really. Had us to win the home games against the bottom half teams and a few aways against beatable teams, to draw against a good Southampton side, away at the Britannia where few teams win and away at Wet Sham who have our number this season. Predicting defeats to Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool was purely based on them being better than us and the fact we have put in joke performances in most of our big games this season.

4th??? where did Liverpool finish?? do you still underestimate them??:lol: imo there is no way we will finish above them
I'm not the only one - there's a few here who have us in 4th come the end of the season. And that was with me being pretty pessimistic too.

You're saying this so you can lay some blame on Sherwood if we don't achieve this goal imo. Of course any realist would see we're not favourites for the 4th spot.

yes but youve been critical of Sherwood and how the team have been performing so i dont see how you can predict we will manage 4th, and thats without taking into account how well Liverpool are playing and the fact they have no european distractions and solely focus on domestic games
That's what I though too - go through the predictor, I think you'll be surprised.
I was working on the basis that we'd have no cup distractions pretty soon, I admit.
To keep it simple I just did us and Liverpool (I'm writing off Everton and Utd) and all wins were 1-0, all draws were 0-0 as we'll never catch them on goal difference.

how many points did Spurs and Liverpool end up with according to your predictions?? I had Spurs with 70 pts, which imo is damn remarkable considering how poorly weve played all season and the managerial upheaval. Liverpool romped into 4th with 80 pts
I don't know, I'd have to go through it all again (and would probably pick different results!) but we had a lot more than 70. We finished a point ahead of Liverpool who have some really tough matches against some top sides coming up - they also have Utd to play who will be desperate to win.

they have us, Emirates Marketing Project and Chelsea at home as their tough games, and i predicted they would beat us, draw with City and lose against Chelsea. So 4pts from 9. I think the minimum they will get from Utd away is a draw. A draw away to Southampton and the other 8 games will be a stroll for them, 8 wins. 80 pts. Their run in isnt so hard

As Scara said, I've tried different variations and had us finishing fourth a lot of the time. I don't really understand how it keeps happening. I still think Liverpool are massive favourites even though we are only three points behind.
I can't see fourth place going up to 80 points. I still feel Liverpool have a slip-up in them, Everton I feel could fade away. I'm actually more concerned about Man U picking it up from now, they went on a six-game streak earlier, I think they could do it again.
I genuinely have no idea how we will fare from now until the end of the season. We have a 3-4 game losing streak in us, but we could also go on a 10-match unbeaten run :lol:

Hmmm. I did it and got us 4th. 76 points. 1 behind scum. Again. 2 points ahead of Liverpool. And that's me putting losses to Chelsea and Liverpool. Drawing at Stoke. And tomorrow.

4pts it may be now, im not sure we will be so close in a months time. we are playing poorly, only Ade is in form, whereas they are playing well, have a world class forward in Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho and Gerrard are bang in form. Yes, people are deluded

soon we will get found out. The goals and chances created are drying up again, and at the same time we are looking more vulnerable defensively. The business end of the season is approaching, its usually the time that we bottle it.

but weve been here before, actually in even better shape, and still when it came down to finishing in the right position whether it be 4th, or 2012 when we should have finished 3rd, we blew it..... i find it surprising how easy people have us exceeding the record pts total of 72 which we got last season.
