OMT Tottenham Hotspur Vs Emirates Marketing Project

absolutely toothless. this failure to score is a huge worry

That's the main thing - if we'd be done 5-0 by a decent City team blowing us away and with us looking like we could score then you can put it down to being one of those days and move on

The fact is that this is the level which we're at this season - no threat at all going forward and left hoping for a 0-0 or to nick a penalty and win. Utterly abject and not the level we should be at with the players we have

Its frightning how often our players make the wrong choice. Nearly every time.

There is a reason for that. They are going against their instincts and doing what AVB has told them to do. AVB is so regimental that he has told them when to pass, at which angle, in which minute etc etc etc. The players are not ba - they are ****ing good players, talented individuals but theyre not playing out there - theyre following a process a procedure.

I still support AVB, as I have done since the beginning.

It ceases to be kneejerking however when we're now a third of the way into the season, sitting in 9th, having scored 6 goals from open play all season (and less in total than Aguero has by himself) and actually looking worse if anything. We're also now staring at our worst defeat in 16 years.

The things that people who are rose tinted positive have been saying to quiet any criticism recently are goals conceded, position in table and gelling time needed. The final one still fair enough but we have decidedly gone to midtable in the other two. Our next 5 games are difficult and as I said, I think this board is not going to be very pleasant over the next month.

AVB turned round some pressure last season, let's hope he can do the same again.

Personally, the thing I'm most worried about is that we had the same problems in attack last season and had Bale to help us in the last half of the season. So far, there is no Bale and I don't see any of the attacking players fulfilling a similar role this season.

Portugeezer, lets be sensible and talk.

It looks like your very much in the pro AVB camp. With the start we have made to the season including the performances, can you honestly say your happy with how its going so far?

Look guys, Rome wasn't built in a day. Man Utd didn't sack Ferguson at the beginning of his reign when Man Utd were p1ss poor did they?

Thats what makes me question AVB, its not like this issue with scoring is from just this season, the amount of games last season we counted on Bale to creating something from nothing. Its this whats made me lose faith in AVB, we dont look like scoring under AVB

If AVB flops then it doesn't make the decision to sack Redknapp wrong, they are two separate decisions 1- sacking Redknapp and 2- appointing AVB, one doesn't impact the other. Just the same as if we were sitting top of table right now after destroying City in a reverse of this scoreline it would not have justified the sacking Redknapp.

Well it makes it wrong if the person youre bringing in is not as good as the previous Manager. If youre not going to bring in someone better than the previous Manager then of course it is a wrong decision. If you want to treat it as two seperate decisions then to sack Redknapp without bringing in someone better makes both decisions wrong. Theyre not mutually exclusive as far as im concerned.

But surely Dembele could see that early, easy pass left to lennon then?

Can't believe how disappointed I am. Had a high hope for the season but it looks like midtable most likely. Tired of watching high line, which makes even opponents' bad defense look good by packing the middle and allowing the counter attack. We are not good enough to play Barcelona football. There needs to be a serious change in tactics.
