Utterly brilliant TV.

I thought i'd post this here as it gives an insight into the (disfunctional) workings of the football club.

I wonder how much translates to other clubs?

Briatore is absolutely crazy, as is the director, Pandiani.

Bhattia seems like a good guy.

How QPR got promoted, behind the scenes footage over 3 seasons, amazing lack of self awareness by Briatore.

It'll be on Youtube no doubt

QPR's owners were batbrick crazy. Charismatic, and great for the press, but crazy. And for some reason, I miss the age when owners were crazy like that. Most football clubs now are quiet, clinical businesses. Certainly you can't imagine Levy screaming 'fudge the coach, if he loses I'm sacking him!' into a landline telephone. If Levy sacks someone, it'll probably be done in a quiet boardroom, with ruffling suits and steely looks and business-speak like 'did not achieve performance-related targets during the third quarter' printed onto dark felt paper sheets lining the table. Cold. Effective. Efficient.

And utterly, utterly heartless.

He's an odd charcter - could never really figure him out during his Renault days

I suspect the Piquet scandal didn't do him much favours either

With all the innuendo about the way Harry operates I wonder how much of our operation is like the film?

Ecclestone is worth 2.6 billion and he is bitching about some cheap bottles of water. Rich people just get more miserable the richer they get.

Amit Batia seems like a nice fella.

Oh very goooooooooooood!

Can't help but feel for mark Hughes in there at the moment...

and yes, i did get an inkling that some very 'Spursey' similarities were being shown during the filming... especially when Harry turned up - mobile in hand - halfway through!!

I'm sure the Jol sacking and the way it was conducted would've made for some classic telly had it all been filmed!!

Watched this this morning. Was a great watch. Although they achieved their goal it was an utterley chaotic way of going about it.

Good Shout Leeds, really enjoyed watching this. I did like Briatore's insistence that he would sack everyone at every oppurtunity. I think even when he took a more backseat role and Warnock was brought in and they needed just a point to get promoted he was saying he didnt understand the manager and wanted rid

The thing that struck me was all of these people involved had obviously been highly successful in various areas of business yet when it came to having a clear conscise plan for moving the club forward it was like they were stabbing in the dark and hoping/guessing what to do more than anything. I know its not going to be as easy as coming in with one plan and sticking with it with success guaranteed at the end but for top business people to seem so clueless/short sighted at times, took me by suprise. Then again they destroy me in the wealth stakes so they have more of a clue than me
