Capital One Cup Draw - 5th round: West Ham (H)

Re: Capital One Cup Draw - 4th round: Hull (H)

@andros_townsend: Great win!! And the perfect draw in the next round #revenge

Re: Capital One Cup Draw - 4th round: Hull (H)

Is the semi final definitely going to be Chelsea or Southampton/Sunderland v Spurs/West Ham?

Re: Capital One Cup Draw - 4th round: Hull (H)

Why are Southampton/Sunderland playing next week?

Re: Capital One Cup Draw - 4th round: Hull (H)

I think it's because Sunderland played Saudi Sportswashing Machine on Sunday. Each team needed a break of at least 2 days before the next fixture. As the two are derby rivals, they cannot both play at home on the same night and so the Sunderland game had to be moved.

Why it was the Sunderland game, and not the Saudi Sportswashing Machine game, I don't know though.

Re: Capital One Cup Draw - 4th round: Hull (H)

Decent draw. But Fat Sam will think he knows how to play against us now. Well, who doesn't. But hopefully we'll get through, and there will be no trouble. I feel like these games agaisnt West Ham is a bit of a ticking bomb at the moment.

but Chelsea and Emirates Marketing Project played on Sunday, and Chelsea had to play **** yesterday despite having only 2 days rest

that allowed Spurs to play today

so Saudi Sportswashing Machine could have played City yesterday and Sunderland played Southampton tonight, or vice versa

that game had 2 fluke goals for west ham. the third we were caught out by a piece of brilliant individual effort, and could have happened to any team recovering from a 0-2 scoreline.

don't see 2 fluke goals happening for west ham again if we have our full squad (not friedel) and a win will provide a huge morale boost to the squad.

I would like to think we wont fudge it up against spam again. no game is a giver and the likes of Andros will need to do his talking on the pitch.......much to do before that game comes round though.....we are dusted in the Europa so focus shifts to epl where we have some tricky games on the way.

Yeah especially with fat sam's anti-football football.
I would like to see capoue in for paulinho in this one, for a stronger and more disciplined centre, and to allow the midfield to just focus on breaking west ham down.

I'd like to see 2 forwards against West Ham to occupy their lumbering, clumsy centre halves. Get the ball down, move it quickly and feed the front men. That will be the key to a routine victory against a team that relies on nothing but the percentages to get through each game and a season.

The 5th Round League Cup tie against West Ham United will be the 8th time Spurs have played them in the competition.

Here are the previous seven results...

Be a nice christmas present for them to get knocked out within sight of a semi final........they don't get the chance to play at that stage of a competition often.

Reading their forum, they are thick. Completely and utterly thick. Normal service to resume both in this Quarter final and in the League game in May..... hopefully they will need the points just as badly as we will work in our favour.

Thats the Spurs fan him in.

Heard him interviewed on TalkSport last night and you are spot on. Very down to Earth, they tried to big him up and put words in his mouth, but he stayed grounded and said exactly the right things. Certainly doesnt come across as someone is getting ahead of himself.

Hopefully he is a Spur for a long time
