If Bale deal was dependent on Eriksen and Lamela then there would have been more happened this afternoon. From the pictures of both on the website it is clear these were taken sometime during the afternoon; whilst we may have been keen to hold onto the Eriksen story until 9pm I cant believe that things wouldnt have got out at the spanish end. Even La Marca havent yet reported what we belive to be the inevitable that 'it is done'

Therefore I believe Levy is still haggling over the fee or possibly the payment plan in which case we could go well into Monday before a resolution. Very likley with a few million added on for good measure too!

However, I'm conscious that its 2 minutes to 11pm CST and that Talksport expect an announcement so let's see!

It's pretty obvious that agreement took place 10-15 days ago.
Great business for both clubs. Chiriches, Eriksen and Lamela would have costed more if the Bale would have been announced before they arrived.

Maybe the stage Real Madrid erected has been up so long they are waiting for retrospective planning to be granted as it's now classed a permanent structure...

I know it's been said and surely we would never spend all this money without knowing Bale cash is coming in but you can't tell me part of Gareth isn't jealous of the side he's walking away from

Well if he's walking in to a team with the likes of Ramos, Khedira, Ozil, Ronaldo etc... I doubt it.

Undoubtedly but I think the point Cleveland was trying to make is that whilst at the club Bale has been part of a decent squad but now the squad is not far off from unfathomable and a part of him must be thinking "I wish we had this lot around whilst I was at the club".

And he would still have been the main man in our team - no chance he will upstage Ronaldo at Madrid.

Like magna carter said more of the fact that we are the club that helped put him on the map and with this squad surely we could be a major force.

Will be annoyed if Real get Bale for just 78m as claimed by the Spanish media. That is 22m lower than the 100m we initially wanted. Why should Levy lower so much fee and conditions to accomodate Real ? We will only show ourselves to be weak everytime we lower the fee to sell our players. Wish we can reject Real. But I guess after spending more than 100m, we have to recoup that money by selling Bale. I am sure Real are desperate to sign Bale, so there is no need to lower the fee.

We don't know the ins and outs of the deal and we don't know what has been discussed or offered between the clubs over the summer. I'm not too bothered about what is written in the press. We've had a fantastic summer and if Bale goes for a little less than £80m, it is still a third more than he is really worth.
