Does anyone else think we should go in for him? After the loss of Willian, I think it would be great to have him back, and to inspire once again, that great partnership with Adebayor.

For cheap, yes (not sure about the Ade thing as I think it's highly likely Ade is gone)

The big issue is playing time, VDV is a bit of a prima donna about playing every game, with our current midfield, might be harder.
 
Loved him but didn't he beat up his wife or something? Can't have a played who did that.
 
Depends on whether AVB is looking to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. He doesnt fit into a 4-3-3 but does in a 4-2-3-1. The question is that, if we're going to play 4-2-3-1, can we get someone younger and better...I would hope so but if not would happy take Rafa back at teh end of the window

Or another way of looking at it might be that we will predominately play 4-3-3 and only occasionally 4-2-3-1 and so having a expensive number 10 twiddling his thumbs might be a waste. Who knows how we'll play it though.

From a footballing perspective I'd have him back in a shot, especially at a reasonable price, but do I do understand there are many other factors, including Holtby's development (which is a good point made above).

biggest waste we have had in money terms..part/exchange..........please!
