Liverpool will have a better team than us.

I understand what you are getting at. However, I watched Celtics essentially reserve and youth players beat them pretty comfortably in Dublin last week. Liverpool fielded their strongest side possible.

They are not dung, but they are nowhere near challenging for the title etc. Whether they will be better than Spurs, I guess we'll have to wait until the fat lady sings on September 2nd.

Agreed. That would be immense business by them if they can pull that off and keep Suarez happy and performing. Just like it would be immense business by us if we can keep Bale and add Lamela/Willian.

:ross:

Does anyone trust Levy to get things that right?

I don't trust him to sell Bale and buy Lamela. On balance I would say he is most likely to sell Bale and waste money on an inadequate replacement .

Because that would be true to form.

Colin Colin Colin oh Colin

1, Your talking crap
2, Why start another Liverpoo thread when there is already one in use

Is this guy on a wind-up? One, there is a liverpool thread already. 2) you've compared a hypothetical Liverpool forward line which is the best-case scenario for them from this window to the worst-case scenario that Spurs could end up with and then thrown all your toys out the pram and committed forum-sucide into the bargain.

I smell a scouser posing as a Spurs fan.

I think a Liverpool forward line of Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez would be better than a Tottenham forward line of Ince, Townsend and Defoe.

will need the transfer window to be closed to be sure, but coutinho is certainly one to watch out for. and they got him on the cheap too.

Oh do be serious for a minute.

Suarez and Ronaldo are too similar.

Messi is not proven in the Premiership.

A miserable Suarez, suspended for several games at the start of this season, carried them last year. They have not done anything that makes me think they're improving.

We have a much better squad than Liverpool. They'll score more than us and play more attractive football but our beasts will get the wins :)

Not sure if they have got a better team apart from the attacking line.

And what i am more worrying about is they have build up their own style of play while we are still look like a athletic team but lack of the ability to break down opponents seating deep ( those teams with so called "not good enough players" which we thought we should have easily killed them ).

I'd hate for them to get Willian. I think he's a great player and the more youtubes I watch the better he gets. But more than anything I'd like us to sign Willian to annoy them.
