Roberto Soldado

Hear say? there's been countless times where Levy has been called out on his negotiation tactics by other clubs. He didn't just build this reputation for no reason.

Yes but this time its based on people guessing what we've offered and what we're now offering. No one that was in the room has revealed any figures.

What shocks me is after years of this transfer game people can't see the difference in the reliability of different sources.

@spurspanyol today is not a good source of reliable information.

Graham Hunter last nights main source is.

i used to think so too. However around the time of the Pellegrini to City rumours, Hunter said the Chilean didnt speak a word of English which in fact was very untrue and i was surprised a journo of his calibre based in Spain could be so mistaken

even a simple mug like me knew Pellegrini had a very good grasp of the English language

That's not how it operates and you know it. Personally:

good or bad news from twitter = depends who is tweeting it.

good or bad news from itk's = they're talking out of their arse.

But the your happy to believe this one because it falls in line your view on Levy - or are you telling me the original twitter source is one you have marked down as reutable?

Yes on this occasion it is but people base things on the reputation of the person involved when you don't have facts. If he/she has past history of doing something then you tend to come to a conclusion in your mind.

and i was happy to go with us bidding 25m on Soldado hence me using those tweets as evidence that we have more money to spend than you and Brainclipse previously thought/suggested. There's no hidden agenda or motive.

I didn't say the agenda was hidden mate just that you will be believe something if it falls in line with your way of thinking, despite the validity.

Last night we had quotes from Valencia saying the two clubs were close in valuation as well as photos of Franco out there - or in other words evidence - today we have none

Today we have AVB stating we are talking.

Surely you lot aren't surprised we are negotiating? That is the whole point of going over there. Show our willing and talk and think and offer and counter-offer.

Then pretend to go away like you're not interested.

Then go back and shake his hand on half way.

Have you never haggled over a car or anything?

This is Spurs' record signing, of course we're gonna haggle and say it is too expensive... we aren't just going to knock back some tapas and agree it in 2 hours.

I'd say this has a bit to run. Negotiations for that amount of money are not concluded over some tapas and wine in an afternoon. The facts are we are interested in the player and were talking to the parties involved. Everything else is pure hearsay at the moment. Are we even sure Baldini has left Spain?

My biggest worry is being gazumped by Liverpool or Napoli, as they will be or are flush at the moment. So the sooner something is signed the better.

This really isn't a big deal at all, just standard negotiations. I think the worst thin to happen was the picture of Baldini in Valencia coming out and everyone got a bit overexcited over that....

Exactly. It's not rocket science.

AS now reporting that the deal is far from dead and negotiations between the two clubs will continue #coys #thfc

If he's headed to the airport then bad news,

but hey this is spain..... its siesta time

might have well come out of meetings and said 'no deal' but could mean no deal yet, it's all interpretation and missed words or second hand info getting slightly twisted and so the picture gets blurred

sometimes i wish i was on a pacific island and only return a couple of days before the season starts, take those couple of days to play catch-up and waddle of to selhurst to see the real stuff begin.

Basically i am wasting too much of my time on this F*cking HOO-HAA](*,)
