Confederations Cup 2013

I could imagine Spain owning this current Brazil team

Completely.

Thing is, Brazil won't be afraid to attack, which will make the game more exciting. Teams that play Spain are usually boring as fudge and sit back which then in turn just allows Spain to keep the ball and bore us to tears. Brazil though will bring out that Spain we all can admire and I can really see them punishing them.

Why not just have Neymar up top? He's the star man, a striker. You wouldn't put a Pele, Ronaldo or Romario out wide.

That why you have the likes of Lucas/Bernard/Oscar/Hulk/Willian/Wellington Nem to fight over the attacking places?

........................Julio Cesar.......................
.............Thiago Silva.....Dante..................
Dani Alves...........Sandro..............Marcelo
................Paulinho.........Ramires..............
......Oscar..................................Lucas.......
............................Neymar..........................

is damn good and exciting. Pretty solid centre half pairing with pace and power. You have Alves and Marcelo as wing backs bombing up and down, Sandro/Paulinho/Ramires helping out defensively as all have outstanding engines and work rate, Paulinho and Ramires get forward whenever possible. You then have Lucas and Oscar cutting in and causing havoc with Neymar destroying teams with his pace and finishing. Pretty sure all 3 front men can interchange too.

I mean if they want to switch it up they could play Hulk out wide, bring in Damiao and push Neymar out wide. They have great options, they're producing very good defensive midfielders in this generation so I think they'll be a great team if they can really find the right balance.

I do not think Neymar is ready to play as a central striker for Brazil at this time. I am not even sure that is best position

I just think it allows them to get Lucas and Oscar in. Otherwise they're weakening themselves by playing Fred or Jo up top when they could add someone with much better ability on the pitch. Neymar/Lucas/Oscar would all interchange, all are good finishers in their own right and we'd see Neymar come out to the left as we saw and then Lucas get into the box or dropping back with Paulinho coming in to the box etc.

I do agree though, Neymar doesn't strike me as that powerful strong striker like a Ronaldo, Pele, Romario or even Bebeto.

Quite looking forward to Italy/Japan.

Japan actually have some decent players in Yoshida, Nagatomo, Honda and Kagawa and when they get going on the ball they play quite decent stuff. We all know about Italy too, they got to a European Cup final. Pirlo is an absolute joy to watch so I can't wait to see more of him, then you have the likes of de Rossi, Balotelli etc. also interesting to see Aquilani.

You can have all this goal line technology brick but it won't stop toss decisions like that happening.
