The Goon Thread

For the last few weeks all I've been hearing about from Gooners is how many more trophies they've won than us, just because they've no longer got any ammunition seeing as we're clearly the best team in London.

This is the latest thing to come out:

The past is all they have, llike a liverpoo fan kept saying to me today you may be a good team but you wont be as good as us until youve won the european cup 5 times hahaha

Ok then

These fudgers don't understand that ball-crushing, heart-breaking failure for decades on end is the very essence of football! Winning things is for losers.

serviceable debt innit. not for much longer...

are there any vultures circling looking to pick off Wheelchair and Vermaelen for bigger clubs? I can see both of them going in the 2012 bonfire.

remaining good players at Arsenal?

RVP, Vermaelen, Wheelchair, Ramsey, Walcott(?), Arshavin (?)

I wonder if we can pick one or two up? Obviously dont want any of those bottlers, however Harry does have a magic wand...

Wouldnt touch any of them clams

You could say exactly the same thing about their pathetic "trophy strip" that runs around the Death Star. They left loads of space for all the trophies they were going to win after they moved stadiums.

No need to make any alterations yet though!

I think they've added a couple of FA Cups to show their doubles... but then why isn't there an FA Cup on our side to show our double? If they want to show off their superior trophy count at least get it right!

Although they've won three doubles so... umm... I just have no idea what's going on :)

Yup, it's laughable when they talk about their current team playing "the Arsenal way". No, the Arsenal way is hoofball, boring, win at all costs, play the percentages brick. Getting it down and passing it is the Wenger way, not the Arsenal way.

they forget their own, horrible, cloggy, anti football of the first 120 years. its like before Wenger, there was no Arsenal. Which is pretty much the case.

Exactly, they had decent football for about 6yrs of their entire existence, yet that same "Professor" is now destroying everything he did 8)

perhaps we should ask united if we can borrow that counter thing they used to hang at the stretford end now they don't need it any more.

7......

er, its the Spurs way! since 1951.

I just meant in an Arsenal context, passing is all down to Wenger and nothing to do with the way the club does things. If they thought Wenger would have got the same results, but playing long ball, they wouldn't have cared and would still have appointed him.

Obviously didn't mean that Wenger had invented passing football or anything like that, although a lot of deluded Gooners probaly believe that! Clearly playing football the proper way has been in the Spurs blood for over half a century now :)

They're only scratching the surface when it comes to tasting misery and anguish as a result of their brickness. We were midtable or worse year in year out, they are having their worst season in 15 years, and they're still in the hunt for 4th place and yet another CL campaign. If they become as bad as we were in the 90s and early noughties, they'll have nervous breakdowns.
