** Tottenham Hotspur vs Fussball Club Basel 1893 OMT **

He might roll around, but he doesn't then get stretchered off and taken straight down the tunnel each time....

No I appreciate that but he often wanders off for a few mins and then comes back. Clearly this is worse than most of the knocks which he gets however we have to hope that the fact that we only have one league game in the next 2.5 weeks that he wont miss too many league games

Or "The other cup" as it's known by the greats like Zidane.

Couldnt less what he thinks.
The club has won 3 trophies in my years of supporting.
The idea of fielding a team of chumps in a quarter final just so we can compete to get a qualifying place for another competition is ridiculous.

I can't get my head around his selection tonight, surely we knew it was a giant and 2 greyhounds coming at us, surely we knew they were are far superior side to the inter Milan side who terrorised him a fortnight ago

it was either extremely poor planning or unbelievable arrogance to think he would be anything other than a disaster tonight

Maybe Willie G threatened to push him into a bush.

Haha do you even know what Gallas' injury is?! You really think trotting around up front chasing shadows is worth long term injury for? What a load of nonsense....

It looked like a calf injury - what he's had several times. No reason he couldnt have stayed on and at least help at set pieces etc

And frankly we're better off with him injured than a possible for the league. He is finished at this level and expect to see him playing down the road from me at the LA Galaxy next season. And by the way it's a beautiful sunny afternoon over here.

I though Basel were brilliant tonight, moved the ball quickly and their movement was good, we done really well to get the draw.

Do you think we wouldn't be using the squad in the Carling Cup QF? What about the Peace Cup?

All competitions have their value.

Exactly, I can see why he has played him in Europe for the experience, you only need to look at City to see why it counts but there is no benefit when someone plays that poorly and Daws/Verts have plenty of European and general experience to cope or 1 of them with Caulker who has looked decent all season.

Either pure arrogance or they didn't do their research first, was lucky he was still on the field to walk off. Should have been a 2nd yellow.

the were excellent. Very impressive. Should look at the Salah fella ourselves and the young swiss attacker chap

Well has he always stayed on when he's had these calf injuries?! And we still don't know if it is. Even if it is, you nor I have no idea physically what he was feeling like and Gallas isn't someone who shirks responsibility. Having a go at him for not staying on is ridiculously harsh IMO, infact I remember a game where he did stay on limping around for ages. Last season I think....

Yes, after a striker a back up winger is our biggest need although a certain Andros should have that position covered for next season.....

Too right. Absolutely zero atmosphere from our fans tonight but it goes both ways to be fair, there was very little to sing about and what bits were sung seemed to have no effect on the players.

On way home, disagree at times atmosphere was good. Dead for the last half hour but seeing the ball bounce off ade, dempsey and parker in that cold weather will quiet any crowd. Every time a chant started one of our players passed it to theirs

Is that how it works now...if you play poorly you stop chanting?!

I go to the Lane at least ten times a season and bar the massive games the atmosphere is always poor and we've played well in the majority of games Ive been to so can't use that as an excuse....
