Golf Thread

Those tacos who shout "get in the hole" really do deserve a slap.

Watch America start to care less and less about golf if they keep losing to us, they only generally care about sports they are good at or they invented.

Its a minority to be honest, probably something to do with them drinking beer from 6am

Interesting that Rory is using the new Nike Covert driver, the 1st cavity back driver

Some consternation about him ditching his Scotty Cameron putter for a Nike one

Love the 1st Nike advert with him and Tiger though

Scotty putters are not all that. They are used by loads of pros but they do a fine marketing job. They also make custom putters for most of the good players, which is why they use them.

Ive had a couple and will never use them again. There are many, many better putter makers out there.

Woods went from scotty putters to Nike ones without a problem.

Bah! I wanna golf! But -15'C, snow, ice and probably 3 more months of this crap is putting a dampener on my mood. Renovating the entire damn house isn't going to help either. 2013 could be a horrible year golfwise.

Im going to get myself a new driver for the new season, my Titleist 983k is still a lovely driver but its 10 year old tech now

Am going to go and have a whack of a few of the new ones and get the experts at the pro shop to advise and custom fit me on the best one for me

Agreed

Myself I use a Cobra s3 stiff shaft
Love it
But considering haveing a look at the G 25 tried the Taylormade woods and just could not get on with them at all.

It's all about right clubs too suit your game and trying to go low..

There's a guy on you tube who does ok reviews on all new irons woods etc
4golfonline is the channel worth a look

I fudging love the Taylormades, I just can't pay out for brand new woods. The RBZ's are awesome at 3/5 wood and hybrids, but the R series is so much better for the Driver. The R1 looks like a winner

Im still on the Ping G15! What a great driver, 250+ with a baby cut.

Marky, the 910 are just as good as the 913 at a fraction of the price now...

Really? I cant be doing with all that crap on the crown! Horrible.

Yeah im very traditional in woods and irons. My G15 driver was a massive jump styling wise, but i have grown to love it simply because i hit it so well. To be honest, its very rare you get a well styled driver in the traditional sense these days, Titleist 905, bridestone j33 and Ping G10 were among the best ever for me.

Does anyone know, can graphite shafts be "cut-down" the same way steel can?

Replacing my youngest lads clubs but struggling to find quality Ladies versions for him to use, so looking at mens and hacking them a bit.
