*** OMT -- TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs ARSENAL -- OMT ***

I am beginning to sense that Lloris is much loved on this forum and anyone who dares be critical of him is then subject to snide remarks from other posters.

Far from it actually. But in order to save that, he would've had to be 8'5 with the jumping powers of an adult male Cheetah?

Other than being beat one on one by Walcott for the cross that lead to the goal, which was more down to good wing play than poor defending, I've been impressed with Naughton so far. Looking the most solid of our defenders.

The thing I hate most about the Lloris/Friedel debate is that we have two (four?) quality keepers. And instead of being happy we're just finding every fault in them. People analysing their footing on goals, trying to find out at what percentile the fault was laid at the our keeper. And until these people get out the UEFA goalkeeper coaching badges or their Premier League stat records let's assume that we don't know all that. Let's either get behind whoever is playing or even just get behind our chosen keeper and stop slagging the other off.

Why are English commentators so obsessed with zonal marking? You'd think no team had ever conceded with man to man marking before.

It's more simple than that I think. If a player makes a mistake or could have done better, you say it as you see it without any bias. That's what I do. I don't refuse to be critical of a player just because they are great.

I hope AVB leaves Huddlestone on and isn't tempted to go for pure industry in the middle. We need someone to who can release the ball to the counter attacking players.

3 - Emmanuel Adebayor has been sent off four times in English football, three times by Howard Webb. Rash.
